both! and it's a ton of fun; i honestly tend to go way overboard with research because it helps me get into the world of the story, and i love world-building more than anything.

For the ship asks: what is the most underrated and overtated ships in your opinion? <3

Most underrated ship: At the moment I wanna say Parvati/Luna and Dorcas/Narcissa simply because I am in a mood for them and no one else seems to be. But seeing as those are also completely random characters to pair up, I can see why. In general, I'm gonna go with the 'popular' femslash ships? Even for just dorlene, which is definitely one of the more like established sapphic ships here, it's so hard finding it in content where it's not the sideship to wolfstar or jegulus. (Like legit if you go to the Marlene/Dorcas tag on AO3, M/M is still the most popular category and something about that just kinda annoys me sometimes lol)

There are obviously a lot of different reasons why that's the case, I'm not mad at anyone or anything, but it's a little disappointing when I just want the girls to fall in love sometimes. In that trend though, I will stick to my initial Dorcas/Narcissa and Parvati/Luna because those are girls that deserve some love.

Most overrated ship: Not to stir anything, I mean no hate to any shippers bc y'all look like you're having a blast and I'm very happy for you, but I'm so very glad for tumblr making it easy to mute jegulus posts. I don't get the appeal, I can't imagine it's something James would ever do except for very specific AUs, I just don't like it and it's grown SO much recently (especially on tiktok where filtering content is so frustratingly difficult lol). They've become one of the seemingly 'established' ship in half the headcanons I see even for other characters, and personally I'm just never a huge fan of it when that happens to any ship (simply because what I love most about the marauders era is that none of it is established) but with drarry and wolfstar, at least I like the ships you know. I just don't like jegulus and it's so prominent right now. But again, obviously, y'all seem to be having great fun and this is what they made muted tags and dldr for lmao, I'm not hating on anyone. (God knows I have no right left to judge anyway).

(I will say, I see Crimson Rivers excerpts sometimes when I looked for sirius and narcissa content on twitter, and one of the recent (I think recent) scenes made me cry without even reading the fic, so I very much get why good fics like that bring people in lmao)

🤢 Who is your NoTP?

I answered this one here and am still trying to think of a ship I dislike to the point of saying it’s a nOTP. I simply don’t care about the ships I don’t read, meaning I don’t even stop to consider them, let alone hate on them. I think I’ll go with Hinny since I’m very much into Drarry and most fics I read don’t have her in the picture (at least not romantically). I like Ginny though! But I like her with Blaise, Pansy, Neville… I’ve even started considering Ginny/Hermione lately, in that sort of “damn, I wanna fuck my sister-in-law” taboo, know what I mean? 🔥

👿 What trope do you hate / avoid at all costs?

I don’t think I avoid any tropes other than “Ginny bashing” (is that even a trope?? Who knows, not me) but I do avoid themes - not necessarily because I hate them but because they’re either a personal squick or they’re not among my interests so I don’t actively go searching for them, like kid fic. These are mostly soft nos to be honest, I’ve read and enjoyed quite a few fics with them! The main ones are: self-harm, addiction, infidelity, memory loss, MCD, BDSM, emotional imbalance, domestic abuse. I’m also picky with dubcon involving love/lust potion and bonding/soulmate, don’t read those very often. But more power to those who love them! ✊🏼

🤷 What thing that your fandom loves do you just not “get”?

Nothing! If fandom loves it then I’m sure there’s a good reason for it - even better if they’re horny reasons 😏 but to give this ask the spice you’re looking for, I’ll say that I don’t really get some people’s obsession with (not only knowing but dictating) top/bottom dynamics in fic. The amount of discourse - and worse, harassment - I’ve seen around this topic in the Drarry fandom is just insane. You see, I’m not saying I don’t have preferences despite being an equal opportunities champion (I wonder if anyone can guess mine?) but a) por que no los dos aka more smut ftw! b) I’m deeply worried about the underlying misogyny behind some arguments I’ve seen and c) stop fucking harassing authors and go write your own fic if you’re so mad about it 😌 there, you asked for chaos and I’m feeling powerful at this witching hour!

drarry amortentia headcanons

- so blaise has this brilliant idea of wearing amortentia to get laid (as if he didn’t have the whole of hogwarts ogling at him already) so one day he wears amortentia to breakfast and everyone is all over him but draco just wrinkles his nose and asks if he’s sleeping with potter bc he reeks of him and blaise almost chokes on his pumpkin juice 

- or the classic harry is late for potions on the day they’re brewing amortentia so when he rushes into his seat beside ron and asks him why the entire classroom smells like malfoy, ron nearly knocks the entire cauldron off the table

- or ron spills everything onto harry and harry has to go about his day with amortentia-stained robes (let’s just pretend they didn’t think of scourgify) and when draco walks past him in the corridor, his eyes widen and he does a double-take because he realises that the familiar, comforting smell he couldn’t put a name to during potions just now was potter

- OR amortentia smells like christmas at the manor, mother’s shortbread cookies and treacle tart to draco and he’s confused because he doesn’t even like treacle tart what the fuck and he’s still thinking about it while having dinner in the great hall so when his eyes scan the gryffindor table looking for the familiar mop of jet-black hair and he sees harry eating treacle tart he just thinks oh
