The Executive Council has voted to allot funds to provide partial travel reimbursement of $400 to graduate students who are members of the MLA by 30 June 2014 and will travel to the January 2015 convention in order to attend preconvention

For @MLAsubcon attendees too: The deadline is fast approaching for travel grants for unemployed, Part time, contingent or grad students. $400 travel grants available. Deadline is Nov 30 (FOR RECEIPT of application). Grad students must be members by Nov 30 (for $23), PTF or unemployed must have been members last year to be eligible. You can join for as low as $28--and become eligible for next year's travel grant (I believe it is Austin Texas next year).

November-February events of #adjunct interest: meetings/conferences/other

…a list in progress. January 2015 will be a busy month and February could be truly momentous. fyi Subcon, EVO and Walkout are free ~ with the latter two involving no travel expenses. The others have registration fees and other attendant costs. Meetings later in 2015 should go on another post. Additional November and December events will be included as this way they come.
