Akuma idea: Nino and Sabrina are akumatized into Parent Trap from their shared hatred of the parents of rich blonde fourteen year olds

Thinking back on Season 1 - 5 akumatizations, how cool would it have been if butterfly motifs were incorporated into their designs to signify how they were under Hawkmoth's complete control?

Stormy Weather is already purple like the butterfly miraculous, but imagine butterfly patterns on her parasol and lining the edges of her skirt.

Imagine butterfly engravings on Stoneheart which become more obvious as he grows bigger.

Imagine Dark Cupid with the pattern of a butterfly's wing on his feathers (or on his mask if it's not there already) similar to a Red Admiral or Peacock butterfly.

Imagine how the way Ladybug and Chat Noir figure out that Volpina is an akuma is because they notice the subtle butterfly pattern on her sash.

It could lead into subtle foreshadowing as there wouldn't be a butterfly motif with the Collector as he's not being controlled by someone else, he's the one in charge of his actions as an akuma. Plus, it could hint to a different person wielding the butterfly miraculous if the usual "tells" are different or straight up non existent.

Even if this could be considered outdated as canon has moved on, it's still a fun little detail which could be included in rewrites or reimaginings.

I drafted this a month ago so rereading this made me think the clearest place for the butterfly motif to be would be as a mask as it's shorthand for how Hawkmoth is "blinding" them by weaponizing their emotions and to stop them from realising he's using them as tools to further his own goals. Idk but it's fun to think about. Also realising I only used Season 1 akumas as examples but I'll probably think of others later.

is there an akuma that comes to mind that’s projectile based? as in, more ball-shaped that arrow-like. or do i need to make one up?

AU where ever after someone is deakumatized, they keep some of their power without it changing their body. They just don't have the overflow of negative emotion behind it. Or the manipulation by Hawkmoth.

Just imagine all the good could come from these powers! Because many of these people are good.

Ivan has super strength.

Mr Ramier can actually control pigeons.

Alya can teleport between phones.

Aurore has some weather powers, or she's like Pepa from Encanto.

Nino can bubble anything, like in Steven Universe.

Myléne's dad can mime SOME things and they're reality.

Juleka can change other people's appearances.

Alya's dad can talk to animals.

Alix... hm. she can make somethings disappear.

Mr. D'Argencourt can summon a sword.

Nathaniel's drawing can be pulled right off the page.

Officer Roger can handcuff people without touching them.

Manon can telepathically move dolls.

Max can also make things disappear.

Myléne can calm down from fear easier with touch from people who care about her.

That photographer Pixelator guy can take pictures that are sort of alive like in Harry Potter. But it doesn't get rid of the real person.

Jagged Stone can Blast things away when he plays a certain song.

Kim can fly.

Theo the sculptor can disguise himself convincingly.

Marinette's great uncle can make food bigger.

Rose can control how things smell.

Chloe's (first power) is creating weapons (oh shit)

Lila can create an illusion when she plays the flute (oh shit)

I might write more for season 2 characters.

What would happen if Chat used his Cataclysm on the akuma at the end instead of Ladybug 'de-evilizing' it.

Would the akuma crumble and disappear?

Would that solve the issue as long as Ladybug used her lucky charm and put everything else back to normal?

Eventually Hawkmoth might even run out of butterflies.
