🔥 FanDuel MLB Stack Guide – August 3, 2025

Optimized MLB stacking ideas for FanDuel, with attached pitcher plus build direction—ready for small-bankroll entry or multi-lineup GPP play.

Stack 1: Milwaukee Brewers

Bats: Christian Yelich, Brice Turang, Andrew Vaughn, Isaiah Collins

Opposing Pitcher: Jake Irvin (Nationals)

Pair With: Zack Wheeler (Phillies) or Brandon Woodruff (Brewers)

Why: Irvin is a contact-prone starter with poor splits; Brewers bats are cheap, allowing you to pay up for top arms or a star from another stack.

Format: Cash or GPP

Stack 2: Cleveland Guardians

Bats: Jose Ramirez, Kyle Manzardo, Steven Kwan, Gabriel Arias

Opposing Pitcher: Jose Urena (Twins)

Pair With: Chris Bassitt (Blue Jays)

Why: Guardians lefties crush Urena’s splits; stack anchors with power/speed and value price points. Manzardo is especially cheap, Ramirez is your payoff play.

Format: Optimal for cash, fits GPP stacks too

Stack 3: Atlanta Braves

Bats: Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, Austin Riley

Opposing Pitcher: Graham Ashcraft (Reds)

Pair With: Jack Flaherty (Dodgers)

Why: Great for tournament (GPP) builds—high upside, home park boost, multiple hot bats in play.

Format: GPP/focused high-upside tournaments

Stack 4: Oakland Athletics (Value)

Bats: Shea Langeliers, Nick Kurtz, Brent Rooker

Opposing Pitcher: Ryne Nelson (D-backs)

Pair With: Any top-tier pitcher, budget remains for extras

Why: Langeliers/Kurtz are scorching; this value stack gives you room for aces or a one-off Dodger or Yankee bat.

Format: GPP, cash as salary saver

Stack 5: Kansas City Royals (Leverage/Dart)

Bats: Salvador Perez, Maikel Garcia, Vinnie Pasquantino

Opposing Pitcher: Chris Bassitt (Blue Jays)

Pair With: Value SP2 for big-field GPP entry

Why: Royals will be low-rostered; stack for leverage if multi-entering or looking for off-board value.

Format: Deep GPP only

How to Use:

Build your main lineup around Brewers or Guardians stacks for safety/floor.

Use Athletics, Royals, or Braves for big-field tournaments or when you want to chase highest upside.

Always verify lineups and weather after 11:30 AM ET. Play 4-1, 3-2, or mini-stacks, adding one-off hot hitters as salary allows.

Last week, I went in depth exactly what I look for when targeting hitting in MLB DFS. It’s no rocket science that in order for you to win, your team has to have hitters that produce on the diamond. Well, in order to do this, we should spend most of our time not on researching hitters to target, but pitchers to target. Either against, or that we are going to roster on our teams. Sure, we could all roster Clayton Kershaw or Madison Bumgarner and feel extremely confident that we can have the beginnings of a great night. In baseball however, pitchers only are on the mound every 5th day. So what happens when they aren’t on the hill? What about opening day? When every teams number one starter is on the hill? There are things that we can look for that will let us know when we can target hitters against those type of starters that are top of the line.
