Letter to @taylorswift

Hi, my name is Alyssa Alderman and I am 23 years old. I have been a fan of you and your music since I was 12 years old. Even though I have never been in a real relationship, I sing along to your songs with an incredible passion. Honestly I think you have shaped the music industry. You could release anything and it will be successful (remember the static clip on iTunes? 😂)

My favourite part of listening to your albums is dissecting each lyric. They all have meaning and nothing is coincidence. There are many different layers to each track with the music and the lyrics, that I never tire of any song. They fit every feeling that I have laughed and cried during the course of an album.

Not only is your music incredible and award winning; breaking records with each album release. The kind of person you are justifies why so many young women and girls idolize you, including me. You have remained the same goofy, beautiful, smart woman you always have been. I appreciate that you haven’t tried to change yourself even with the pressure of fame and annoyance that the media gives you.

It astonishes me that you have been able to accomplish so much at a young age. The fact that you wrote such deep and meaningful lyrics while still in high school amazes me. I just wanted to write this because I want you to know how grateful I am to have you in my life. Even though there is a minimal chance that you ever see this, I wanted to thank you. Your music has gotten me through the tough times in life, and of course made the good times better. I have even made my mom a swiftie!

My mom has worked up to three jobs at once to support our family since my dad is unable to work. She has had a stressful life for many years and I want to give her something to look forward to. We were able to attend the 1989 tour together and are lucky to see reputation in Toronto.
