Oft forgotten is the storied nation of Baltimore. Home to loyal citizens with a powerful past, the country of Baltimore may be struggling now, but there’s nothing keeping them from the good of the future. The orange is for the strength of the citizens. Black, for the strong history of the nation. White, for the good still waiting to come.

MLB Teams as Country Flags: The Arizona Diamondbacks

Out in the desert, being cold-blooded is an asset. The immediate danger a snake presents is a strong symbol for those desert-dwellers to project to the world. The colors are also those of power as well. The black of determination. The tan of the hot sand. The red of the glory they seek. Arizona will strike, and use their flags in the way a rattlesnake uses its tail: as a warning.

MLB Teams as Country Flags: The Atlanta Bees

One of the most storied regions, Atlanta has gone through many symbols--Bs eventually became Bees, though the insect has yet to show up on any officially sanctioned flag or symbol. Some may argue it’s only a matter of time, as the bee is one of the most important members of an ecosystem, just as Atlanta is important to their region. The color red represents the long history the people have seen. The deep blue symbolizes the fertility of the region. The golden yellow is for the wealth seen in the past and will be seen in the future, because Atlanta should never be counted out.
