Fluffy creature: this cat's name is Jenny; she was up for adoption from the same fosterer I got my cat Malva from. AFAIK Jenny has found a home by now, but her feline smile is phenomenal.

MLC headcanon: What would happen if DFS got sick? He'd have to be depowered first so he couldn't just get rid of it by means of neili, but we have seen that in canon with the asura grass. Then imagine the proud leader of the Jinyuan Alliance, laid up at the Lotus Lodge with all permutations of a nasty but not life-threatening lurgy...

Li Ming is trying to recreate some of the scenes from Heart's favorite movies, which turn into cute date ideas. From the morning market to taking Saleng's bike to the next town over, they have a whirlwind of adventures. Li Ming doesn't know if it's the bright smile that blooms on Heart's face or the chaste kiss he receives at the end of the night is the best part of their time together ❤️

Heart tickles his chin, bringing Li Ming's attention back to him.

Li ming smiles sheepishly, apologizing for zoning out. He called Heart here today for a reason. "What's wrong?" Heart signs with furrowed brows. "Did you fight with your uncle again?"

Li Ming shakes his head, "No, I wanted to talk to you about something."

Heart looks on patiently waiting for Li Mong to explain. Li Ming starts to move his hands but stops, his leg bouncing as he tries to get his thoughts together.

Heart puts his hand on his bouncing kneecausing Li Ming to look at him. "My mom.." He starts signing, "I'm going.." He let's out a sigh of frustration. Why is this so hard?

Heart smiles at him sadly, "Are you leaving?"

Li Ming looks stricken and slowly nods his head.

"Are you going to stay with your mother?"

Li Ming gives him a stilted nod before giving Heart a watery smile as he thanks him for brightening up his whole world.

Heart and Li Ming having FaceTime calls before bed and falling asleep looking at each other. Li Ming can't read lips, but he thinks Heart said he likes him one night.

Interpreter!Li Ming meeting Heart again, who's finally free of his parents' grip when he turns like 21. They had met briefly when they were younger and could've been friends if Heart's parents didn't ban his hot-headed self from the house. When he was pursuing a career in the US, he remembered the cute boy with the sad eyes and the fake smile. And he remembered the way his heartbeat increased, and a blush would bloom on cheeks.

Li Ming helping Heart again with coming out of his shell and exploring a world that's been closed off to him for so long. The two slowly fell back together and then in love.
