the quiet park I usually have lunch in is today filled with screaming children. it really is the worst day today.
like ok MLK Day is Monday, but do you think if there is ice that maybe it is to cold to be filing the fountain?
Mob Grip rider Collin Provost sets up a freshie and hits the local MLK Park in Long Beach, CA in this Episode of Talkin' Mob!
Fillmore Avenue Streetscape Project is Complete
The Fillmore/MLK neighborhood is one of the most critical to Buffalo's East Side and is listed as one of the neighborhoods eligible for development using money from the Buffalo Billion. Dense mixed use development projects can now be built along the recently completed $2.2 million streetscape project on Fillmore Ave.
The project is one of many in the MLK Park area that have recently been completed including a $4.5 million splash pad, over $16 million for the St. Martin Village project, about $1 million in upgrades along the Humboldt Parkway, and over $1 million more in other improvements. This is coming along at a time when momentum is starting to shift for the East Side, Buffalo's largest and hardest hit area of the recession. Larkin Square and the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus along with planned projects that include Highland Park and a business park are sewing the seeds for an East Side comeback.
