JUST GOT BACK FROM SELMA
Everyone-no matter what you're doing today-please try to go and see Selma especially today. That movie hit me in my very soul and made me appreciate my history so much more and I actually left the theater wanting to be not only a better citizen of this country but as an actual human being. Please go see this film that holds nothing back in showing the depths of depravity, heartlessness, and cruelty my-and many other-black american ancestors faced in this country and the battle that is still going on to this day.
PLEASE go and see it. PLEASE.
And afterwards, see Into the Woods this week because it adds another message that goes so well with Selma it made me cry in theaters
See both these films and you will come out of the theater a better citizen of the world, a better student, and a better human being. PLEASE.

“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, ‘Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.
Great words from a man who took his own advice well. Thanks for…

MLKJ
Today I watched an episode of Yu Gi Oh 5DS... and enjoyed it. Dear God.
Spent most of the rest of the day reading soppy shoujos, I have been due for a fix though..
Then I flicked between Oprah's MLKJ Day special and Access Hollywood's review of the Golden Globes. -The Golden Globes were amazing by the way. Highlights included the camera wandering over to Bragelina every 10 seconds, a Robert De niro montage, Colin Firth, Robert Downey Jr.'s sexually innuendos and the fabulous hosting skills of Ricky Gervais. I need to see The Kids Are Alright and The King's Speech they looked very good.- Then I ate split pea soup while making a variety of stupid facebook wall posts and watching the Spanish channel's version of Jerry Springer.
My math homework remains incomplete..
Spanish channel > math homework
I don't think it is a good sign...The list of things I choose to do over Math homework is growing and growing
Hope everyone had a happy racist-free MLKJ Day, and that you took sometime time think about the progress that has been made in the past 25 years and what still must be done.
"Hatred and bitterness can never cure the disease of fear; only love can do that. Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illumines it." - Martin Luther King
