fizban, god of the metallic dragons, who spends all his time polymorphed into a pony. and his five (not seven because divorce) gold dragon partners. all polymorphed variously.

i think this is the last dragon i made? he’s adapted from an actual DND character whose actual canon I don’t give a shit about. I just liked his vibe so i stole him. and turned him into a silly polyamorous pony. as with all things.

this is an ancient gold dragon that travels with the adventuring party in the pony ttrpg i run. he is polymorphed into a pegasus because they can just do that. they also dont really help the party with like fights and stuff because theyre a silly catboy.

they have explicitly told one party member that they intend on eating them eventually. he never lies. he just happened to tell the one pony who is super into that lol. to be clear, dragons eat like gems and rocks and metals for sustenance. he eats ponies because its fun. but they have got some time. He is over a millennia old. He is very patient. Maybe he eats them tomorrow, maybe he eats them in a few decades.

honestly, this is probably the best NPC performance I have ever given in my many years of dungeon mastering. he’s so sly and sexy and well thought out and the players love him. Old dragons have long names that take forever to say, but he told them that they can call him Friendship Hooves. he made a pony name because he can polymorph the ponies and they do this all the time because they love ponies so much and he plays with them like toys.

NOT a pony for scale. theres still more. i need a lot of dragons for the next chapter of my ttrpg campaign. without spoiling too much for the people who are totally in my campaign and will see this: the thing these dragons all have in common is that they play with ponies like pokemon

does the red dragon that I've been thinking about a normal amount have a name

dragons in this story have really long names that take forever to say that are basically a poem written about their entire lives. considering that she is over a millennial old, this name is probably longer than book series. dragons sometimes befriend poets (or kidnap them) to get them to write their names. and they have to keep doing this periodically because obviously they keep living. sometimes dragons’ names get shortened to just the most significant life events, but also often dragons find this offensive or irreverent, especially very old dragons.

when they are talking to creatures for whom saying their name would be donating a significant portion of their life lol, they usually just get referred to with their pronouns or with an honorific. coming up with a nickname like Fizban is seen as really childish because only very young dragons get called things like that. like >100yo dragons. like spike.

old dragons usually think themselves above gendered pronouns and gender all together. the red dragon in question is fine witg being called she tho. and she makes her pony subjects call her excellency
