What’s the point of finally having a boy main character in your girly franchise if he always has an uncomfortable expression whenever he reluctantly does a girly thing, and also he just happens to be too busy for the sleepover episode because a boy couldn’t possibly belong in a sleepover full of girls in a cartoon ever. since i've been rewatching mlp:fim lately, seeing the new mlp:mym trailer feels extra off. on one hand im genuinely curious to see the continuation of the lore, but on the other hand it's really hard to get into the very... "waving keys in front of your face" kind of vibe

like god the trailer is so aggressively loud and the jokes feel kinda dated already lmao. fim had the great foresight to make the show anachronistic which makes it hold up so well, while mym is very overtly gen z lmao

but the music is the worst offender for me i think. fim had the sound of a cartoon musical and it was fantastic. like god there are SO many memorable songs throughout 9 seasons. mym music, on the other hand, is indistinguishable from the pop i hear on the radio.

i know it's unfair to keep comparing mym to fim but like that's a hard show to follow up to and they distinctly chose to make the decision of setting mym in the same continuity as one of the most iconic shows of the 2010s so…

⚠️MLP Make Your Mark Chapter 2 Spoilers⚠️

Looks like Twilight’s back to her first alicorn form in Make Your Mark; I’m guessing this is either:

Opaline’s doing.

Due to animation/budget restrictions not allowing for another new character model.

Another indication that the writers view FiM′s canon to be a mere suggestion.

The last one might not actually be too likely in this case, to be honest, as a piece of concept art for Sunny actually takes FiM alicorn designs into consideration!

The Equestrian Showcase

It is the time for the special announcement!!!

The Equestrian Showcase will take place tomorrow (Saturday 11) at event.pony.town and Twitch at 2PM CST / 8PM GMT.

The event was made for you to have fun and a good time, but the real purpose behind the event is helping pony musicians getting discovered and helping listeners to discover new music!

For that, every musician who is participating has submitted their best songs from 2022 for the showcase, and those will play in a carefully placed order to keep up the energy and genre consistency for the best listening experience.

On the stage screen you will see the artist name, song name, and socials where you can follow and get more from the artist. Beside the main event, we'll feature 3 whole DJ sets, and at least 2 hours of pure dancing madness under the PVFM radio ^c^

The server will open at 1PM CST / 7PM GMT, an hour before the event start.

So I hope to see you all there and have lots of FUF!

p.s. If you never joined a PT event before, keep in mind this is a separated client from PT, you'll have to register again and your characters from PT will not be there. However you can export them manually from PT. You can do that even before any events.
