sorry it took so long for me to respond, but i went out for a few hours. but here it is!

“Hey.”

James Potter leaned forward a bit, squinting slightly at his girlfriend Lily Evans, who was sitting on the floor across from him.

“Hey, Evans.”

James had stopped calling Lily by her last name when they started dating, but he would slip back into his old habit whenever he was teasing her or when he had some firewhiskey in his system.

“What is it, Potter?”

“You have the prettiest eyes in all of the Wizarding world.”

“Have you seen every pair of eyes in the Wizarding world?”

“Nope, but I don’t have to. I already know that none hold a candle to yours. I hope all our kids have your eyes.”

Lily smiled, his mention of their future added another layer of inner warmth to the sips of firewhiskey she’d drank.

“And who said we’re having kids together, Potter?” she teased.

“Who else would I have kids with?” James took another healthy sip of firewhiskey, and licked his lips after he swallowed.

“There’s no one other than you, Lily Evans, no one else.”
