He didn’t like being called ‘Crystal’. It was stupid. A name that he didn’t actually want to have. Still, the magi that called himself Soundwave kept calling him that. Every damn time they ran into each other, it was ‘Hey Crystal’, ‘How’s it going Crystal’, so on and so forth.

And yet, Theo still turned when he heard it. About ready to get onto the pink magi for calling him that again, even with them in the middle of a fight.

The shout that slipped out of him when he saw Soundwave get hit was purely reflex. Why the hell did he do it? They were barely even acquaintances! Still, seeing how bad the hit was...

He panicked.

“Fuck...! Soundwave!” A spear of crystal was thrown at the corrupted monster, pinning it before it could land another hit on the already badly hurt magi. Another hit could kill him. He might die anyways! Theo let out another curse, willfully using a surge of energy and magic to deal with the other ones. They were just shadows; Nothing to actually purify, aside from the one roaring and gnashing its teeth at the magi pair.

He’d deal with it in a minute.

For now, Theo hurried back over to Soundwave. Dropping to his knees right next to the pink magi, hands shaking as he tried to think of what to do. He needed to heal him. Theo can do that. He knows he can. But he was hurt badly... And he knew his crystals were ineffective. On the surface, at least.

“Fucking, goddamn moron...” Theo was muttering under his breath as he created a crystals. Small, no bigger than a normal pill, but as packed with his healing magic as he could. And once the magic was used up, it would disappear. If he could Soundwave to swallow it, then it would heal faster than anything else he could do. It was already making him feel drained. Shit. “I fucking told you not to be stupid!”

With that last shot, Theo put the crystal against his lips. Holding it there as he leaned over Soundwave and...well, ‘kissed’ was the only word for it. He couldn’t risk the crystal falling out of the other’s mouth, so he kissed Soundwave. Making sure that it was swallowed before he actually pulled away.

“I swear to god, if you die, I’m bringing you back and kicking your ass.”

“Here, have some water.” It was less of an offer and more of a demand, really; Kenneth had the bottle pressed against Uta’s forehead, the manager stubbornly holding it there until it was taken. “You’re doing a good job, so hold on for a bit longer. Okay?” He felt kind of bad for Uta. Everyone else got to have a bit of a break while the focus was on him. Kenneth let out a soft sigh, checking his tablet. “There’s nothing else after this... I’ll get you a treat once we’re done here.”

     𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙳𝚈 𝚃𝙾 𝙵𝙻𝚈 - !

      “Ah ah ah ah! Kass hold up-!” Slender fingers immediately pushed a button- specifically the autopilot- to allow any impulsive button presses to be rendered invalid. She let out a sigh of relief, closing the lid to the autopilot button feature for good measure. The last thing she wanted was for her feline-like crewmate to press a button that would cause something like the warp jump to be activated- that was for emergencies only, after all.

      “Okay, now you may press a button.” Whew! nearly dodged a bullet there.

「     Okay ... Do you think he will be okay?     」       Even through the mask, the concern was clear in his muffled voice. Behind the lenses of the leather, his eyes peered towards the other than returned to his carefully cupped hands. Within the confinements of leather clad fingers was a small bird he had saved from a cat that got a little too close for comfort. The bird did not seem injured on the surface, but he knew their fragile bones may make it hard to fly after an encounter like that.

His shoulders sagged in clear dejection. He really, really hoped the bird will be fine. He should have been quicker, but unfortunately, he had noticed the prowling cat  a second too late.

He could see her staring at him. Lorrie was pretty sure she was trying to be obvious at this point, staring right back at her for a few moments in silence. “...Look, if you were hungry, you should’ve bought something at the gas station earlier.” He leaned over, waving his chocolate bar at her as he ‘scolded’ her. “Come on Kennedy, we’ve been doing this for how long? I’m not giving you any.”

“L-Lanny, hold on, you’re... You did it wrong.” Zahri appreciated his crewmate’s help. He really did. But watching her connecting the wires, only for them to be getting into a bigger tangle than before... “Here, let me show you. You just gotta match the colors, okay?”

“Kai, come on. It’s perfectly safe.” Lexi was already standing on a few of the boards bridging the gap, bouncing on them a bit to demonstrate his point. “See? We just gotta cross this, and then we’ll be back in town!” Why did they have to pick the riskier routes? Mostly because it was faster, and they needed to get back as soon as possible.

“If we don’t hurry up, the donut shop’s gonna be sold out!”

They were seasonal Halloween themed and unfortunately, we’re out of the things required to make them.”   Blair hummed, turning to look at the shelves behind her.   “I could make you a sample of one of the Christmas themed drinks if you’d like? Consider it on the house.”
