I feel like I regularly forget the fact that kamikaze girls isn’t just good for the wardrobe but it’s also just a genuinely good movie. it’s hilarious but has it’s heartfelt moments, momoko and ichigo compliment each other so well as characters, it’s 4th wall breaks are incredibly clever, the soundtrack is quite memorable, and it’s just really well directed. the use of lighting always stood out to me in particular

it certainly has it’s weaknesses (ie the motivation for the fight feels kinda flimsy, especially when compared to the book) but it’s highly rewatchable and fun for lolitas and non-lolitas alike

after seeing the camp exhibit at the met myself, I can confidently say that lolita fashion is, in fact, 100% camp

I’ve been thinking about the idea of camp and the exhibit at the met museum and I have a question I’d like to as you all. 

do you think lolita fashion is camp?
