I JUST ACTUALLY BUST OUT LAUGHING because REALLY the fight scenes between solomon and hagi are so hilarious and petty that really viktor fighting anyone for that purpose would be just the type of comic relief this au needs like it doesnt matter that he and yuuri have matching rings he's constantly ready to throw hands anyway so pretty much he's gotta glare at like the entire yoi cast at least once

They really were petty like??? but I agree, and I kind of want to make Chris part of Red Shield explicitly for this purpose, and also because I think Victor needs a Friend when Yuuri’s catching the zzz’s

If you wanted to take a deviation from the original content and just use certain elements of the pseudo-vampirism without the twins, you could have these two be the last in Yuuri's bloodline. Sometimes Yuuri becomes uncontrollable in berserker mode which is where some conflict would go as Viktor tries to determine what's right vs. what Yuuri wants?

I sense prime angst material here :D Yuuri would probably want to put an end to himself once he fulfills his purpose in order to atone for his crimes and put an end to the violent cycle of his species, but Victor knows he’s capable of more and wants him to be happy, and knows that Yuuri is loved and deserves better.

SEA you're the only one i can scream to about this and I KNOW we're in blood+ au hell but hear me out like have you ever considered KH au because I know I have Like honestly somehow the plot to kh is even more convoluted than Blood+ but really I'm just deep in the kh hole now too with the new game so what better way to get involved than throw my new faves into the universe? Let Victor Befriend Hercules 2k17

I still dont understand the lore of KH 100% and nomura is just shoveling plotline upon plotline on us and i am drowning friend. WHERE TO EVEN START. Who’s the main trio, is Victor the attractive competent figure of the trio, or is he the attractive competent figure of the entire series. I can see Yuuri worried about his “status” as a keyblade wielder, like does he deserve this, he was second choice after all.

I can also see Yurio filling the KH1 Riku role, being competent and the keyblade’s first choice but he starts doing naughty things.

SO I've tried looking at scenes in the anime just to refresh my memory (mainly vietnam scenes) and you know what sea who is the poor sucker chevalier on the other side in this au that has to constantly gets their rear end kicked by viktor because they have the hots for yuuri and eventually change their wardrobe the reflect it

It’s so easy to say everyone has the hecking hots for Yuuri but to actually name one character and make that 75% of his personality is another story and a commitment I’m not ready for.

I mean, looking at the series, Phichit and Yuri seem like prime candidates to have a hardass crush on Yuuri but Phichit can’t get his rear end kicked by anybody, and Yuri is Yuri.

edit: the only person i can think of who’d be dramatic enough besides victor to change their wardrobe is JJ

Also what do you think Yuuri is doing when he’s buddies with Phichit and under surveillance by red shield is that going to be a thing in this au like in blood + canon because even though yuuri can easily pass for a high schooler it just doesn’t seem fair to make him endure that kind of torture. What kind of corny regular human boy life is he going to lead before Viktor shows up and shoves his bloody hand in his face and tells yuuri to Take A Sip

Like, he can be in college. I can attest that asians look the same in highschool and college and who’s gonna question it, nobody. Also do you think Phichit is like Kai in that he leads a semi-normal life until being friends with Yuuri drags him into Red Shield, or you think he’s been a part of Red Shield all along and was assigned to be Yuuri’s friend in order to keep an eye on him but obv they’re still bff.

Also I don’t want Phichit to get old and die so what if we pulled a youth serum out of our butt. Blood+ has David and Joel having babies that look exactly like them, and are willing to take their names carry on their legacies, but who in Yoi is gonna do that.

I dont see why not, although Victor probably spends 5 hours carefully cutting it all off because Yuuri swore off long hair after his evil twin brutally murdered his whole family.

Also to respond to your other reply 

even worse yuri's twin doesn't even like pork and that's why they fight each other because yuuri just isn't having it-- BUT IN ALL HONESTY I JUST DON'T KNOW Like we might have to take a little creative license with this one because it's not like we can just shove a random character in there like who would it be? Otabek?? Seung gil? instead of singing opera he does a terrible mambo and that's why yuuri has to kill him. or Yuuri's evil twin is actually JJ's nightmare Yuuri

i was gonna suggest evil clone instead but they probably did not have cloning technologies in the 1700′s. and asdkfjdk i was thinking the same about his evil twin being JJ’s nightmare Yuuri but then we’d still have to kill him and I’d still be sad.

Safest bet seems to be some creative license lmao, but a big part of blood+ is that blood duality thing going on. Idk how deep we wanna get into this man. If we’re just here for murder katsudon and whipped af vampire victor then we can just have monster extermination the World Tour (tm). If not, we can bring in the Kuuri Yatsukis but it seems like a whole nother can of worms and angst

now I'm just dying because if Viktor have a version of The Promise™ in this AU it's gotta just be the worst thing on Earth for Viktor because Yuuri gave him a purpose and his happiest (and saddest tbh) memories all involve Yuuri so he doesn't want to go through with it but he's just so devoted and loyal that he doesn't want to step out of line it would just eat at him FOR DECADES I'm dying and as thirsty as Viktor is Yuuri's 30 year hibernations would be Pure Hell ;;;

What would Victor even do during those thirty years, I feel like he’s the type to want/need attention in some form or another. Yuuri implores him to go make some friends and Victor reminds him that humans barely last, and Yuuri doesn’t have the heart to make another chevalier, so then Victor’s solution ends up being adopting a bunch of dogs who last even less and it’s so much pain but he loves dogs so much oh god

I’m sure Yuuri feels Ultra Bad about leaving Victor alone for so long too (and probably about The Promise as well), and deep down he’s afraid that the next time he wakes up, Victor won’t be there even though Victor promises him over and over that he’ll wait for him and aaAAAHHH

On a HAPPIER note, imagine before Yuuri’s latest cycle, Victor takes up professional figure skating (maybe he performed in the past as well but had to fake his deaths and take a few decades off before making a debut again, bc you know immortality is suspicious) and when Yuuri wakes up he acts bratty that Victor has shown him up again but he’s actually really proud and is happy to see Victor live a mostly normal life entertaining himself (and others).

THATS A GOOD QUESTION Phichit is so good he'd take good care of Yuuri but I can't decide which I like better between him learning about Yuuri and just refusing to just stand by while his bff leaps into danger (also how can he resist joining the Eating World Tour) or him being red shield and already knowing everything about Yuuri but he doesn't meet Yuuri until he's assigned to watch over him and Yuuri is just 1000 times more precious and sweet than he was expecting.

phichit probably goes into meeting yuuri expecting him to be cold because he’s heard the stories but yuuri is just the softest clumsiest and most perpetually hungry disaster he has ever encountered

MAN i want Phichit happily third-wheeling so hard, like Saya and Haji were off doing their own thing for a while, but I feel like we need a Phichit to balance things out and disperse the angst a little.

Both options are so good for Phichit akdsjfkds but if we put him in red shield as their agent All Along, then it could give us some foothold in assigning the other characters their roles lmao, like Leo and Guang-Hong as support (since Yuuri doesnt know how to make his own friends apparently) 

EDIT: but i also feel like Yuuri needs that regular human friend who still likes him despite what he is and will die for him (but doesnt, bc it phichit)

Can you imagine how much hair that’d be between them but Viktor lovingly cuts Yuuri’s hair every time because Yuuri wouldn’t know what to do with himself if he had to worry about that much hair that’s Viktor’s thing

It’s enough for ten wigs, but obv Yuuri can’t donate it because there are people out there who want to use his DNA to make new monsters and Yuuri wont be able to kill those without ripping their heads off.

Victor loves it and Yuuri says its not as beautiful and shiny like Victor’s locks of silver, then they reminisce about the old days and get a little sad
