they called her a drug-dependant,
they mocked her when she fell out of her bed,
‘theatrics’ they said,
the doctors claimed that she asked to be forcibly restrained,
they laid their hands against her,
they mocked her as she lay dying,
mocking her parenting...
joyce didn’t deserve any of this,
she came to them for help..
and they failed her...
they failed her with their disgusting actions, words..
quebec needs to do better, canada needs to do better...
don’t forget joyce, don’t forget the people before her,
whose lives were cruelly shattered a thousandfold by ignorance
