I disagree. I think that if people are shown as humans and we have people to protect the main protestors, like tougher punks, and we have the main image be that of pride, it'll be great.
Pride is a protest. And making pride happen on Halloween outside the white house is a good message to scrotus.
So kind of you to assume that I only know about posting on Tumblr and know nothing about protest safety. /Gentlesarcasm
See the thing is, with heavy drag and heavy makeup comes a certain anonymity. Especially when you cover up tattoos. And it presents the gays as visibly peaceful and wanting change. Which gets our cause against scrotus more visibility among straight people.
I'm talking HEAVY drag. Body-shape-altering drag. Which is perfect for cold weather on Halloween. Absurd amounts of makeup and contour, even shitty contour- that changes your facial shape.
If we disrupt traffic around the white house and are peaceful, we should get a lot of media coverage. Which absolutely DOES do something. It's not ALL about throwing bricks at banks.
And it ALSO sure would be a shame if all of the people who can't go to halloween pride would uhh yunno.. all go to the white house website at once, and start flooding the email of the whitehouse with memes about US war crimes, on halloween
