Alanna and Faithful from Tamora Pierce's first Tortall series.
Faithful is a lot sassier in the Beka Cooper series, but I love grumpy magical cats, ok? And Alanna is super chipper here, but she can be pretty excitable so far as adventure is concerned. Adventure is her thing.
You know that moment when you're about to get up and do something, and then fall asleep for an hour?
Nap then homework then internet then dinner then sleep?
