[multisaku-madness]

Hey everyone, I hate to do this, but as you've noticed, the Multisaku Madness server has been deleted. I just want to begin by saying that it wasn't anyone's fault, or that any one thing contributed to its deletion, but I'll just simply say that after a year of running it, I've run out of steam and my interests have gone elsewhere. The way I see it, it was truly a positive learning experience, and that I met a lot of fantastic people. I'll always remember the fun times it brought, but it is time to move on. I'd like to thank all the great people I met through it, and I hope it was a fun experience while it lasted. I'll keep this blog around as a momento, but henceforth, Multisaku Madness has been closed for good. I hope you have a good rest of the year and I wish you the best! -Mod Calis

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

A year ago today this little group opened and we’re still going strong! It’s a massive achievement and we wouldn’t be anywhere without any of our lovely members. Whether you’ve been here from the start or just joined yesterday — we love and appreciate you. This group would be nothing without all of your continued support and participation. That goes for any past members, too. Anyone who is and has ever been a part of our group has been an integral part of it’s success.

As mods, it makes us so unbelievably happy to see how much the group has grown and continues to grow. Trust us when we say Mount Meadow isn’t going anywhere for a long, long time. We are constantly thinking of things, improving things behind the scenes and trying to make this the safe place it continues to be.

Of course, we’re being extra to celebrate and have the trip beginning today along with our love and appreciation week where you can send in things you love about Mount Meadow whether its IC or OOC.

There’s a lot we could say but we don’t want to get too mushy on ya! So, thank you and have fun <3

Hi, friends! We have a couple of little somethings we wanted to go over as a quick reminder so we’ll just get straight to it.

We’re so glad that we’re getting so many starters (keep ‘em coming!) but please do make sure you are replying to some before making your own. The only exemption is new members — they’re free to make a starter without replying to any first. With that being said, a lot of us here have more than one celebrity and sometimes we want to reply on a bunch of them which is great but please try not to reply to the same starter on all of your celebrities. It can be pretty overwhelming to the person who made the starter. As someone who does have multiple celebrities, I always find it better to spread my replies out. Reply to someone on one celebrity then another starter on a different one, etc. It spreads out replies and doesn’t make anyone feel overwhelmed.

Do make note that we are also keeping track of those who do and do not reply to starters. Starters are what keeps things going and allows for new connections to happen so be sure you are checking the masterlist and replying to them.

Also, when it comes to making starters, try not to make a bunch of starters in one go on all your celebrities either. We have to give other people a chance to make them and if you’re making starters on all of your celebrities within minutes of each other then it can make people feel like they shouldn’t make one.

And, lastly, don’t forget we have our anniversary trip coming up. If you don’t sign your celebrity up for it, they won’t be on the trip. You can find that information here! We’d love to get more of you signed up.

Happy almost Easter weekend, Mount Meadow fam! We have a few things we want to talk about so we’re just gonna dive straight into it.

CHARACTER LIMIT

We have decided to go ahead and get rid of the limit. We don’t really think there should be limits and restrictions on writing our celebrities so there will be no character limit but after your second celebrity you must ask us if you can get approval to pick up any other celebrities each time. We may ask you to reserve for a while and work on activity before you pick anyone else up. We just want you to be sure you can handle so many celebrities.

REPLIES & EFFORT

We all know everyone has different types of writing styles but we can also tell those who are and aren’t putting their effort into things. If you’re only writing a one or two sentence reply to a full starter or reply then it’s highly likely that person won’t want to reply to you. Try to give them something to work with — make an effort. There’s no need to write the same amount back. Quality over quantity always but once sentence replies aren’t enough to build connections off sometimes.

GODMODDING

Okay, this is something we’ve mentioned before we want to mention it again. Don’t take control of another person’s celebrity. Sometimes you may not even realise you’re doing it but saying a celebrity did a certain action or said something that you didn’t get approval from their mun for can be frustrating to the person. So, be sure to ask before you say something or post something. The last thing we all want is someone making our celebrities do something we wouldn’t have them do.

ALIASES AND ACCOUNTS

This is just a general notice because we have had some concerns. Don’t go under another alias to pick up more celebrities. Now that we have no limit there really is no need. Please do be aware that if we do find out you are in the group under two different names we will ask you to leave.

Happy Monday, Fam! We have been noticing a few things lately and wanted to talk to you all about them so we can squash it before it becomes a real issue. So we’re just going to dive right in.

1. Please make sure you are replying to starters before making your own. The only exception to this rule is if you are a brand new member. All current members regardless of a new celeb or not need to make sure they are replying to at least two starters before making their own. It’s never fun to post a starter and then have someone else make one without replying to yours. All starters are boosted and can be found on our master list. 

2. Please make sure you are cutting posts. We know it can be difficult on mobile, but there is a way to delete all posts except the original post, so please do not let replies get any longer than two or three. It clogs up the dash and can make it harder for people to find replies or posts from the main.

3. Please try to refrain from bubble rping. We know sometimes life gets hectic and you may only have time to reply to one or two things, but try to spread the love outside of just ships or best friend connection. Everybody here is super friendly and willing to plot with everyone and it could just make someone’s day to see a reply from you.

Hello, you lovely lot! We wanted to make a quick post addressing spoilers since there’s a lot of shows and one very big movie coming out soon. So we want to go over the guidelines on them just so nothing is ruined for anyone.

When it comes to new shows airing (including ones on Disney+, Netflix, etc) the usual rule is to wait two weeks before anything is posted and even then it’s always best to tag posts with tw spoiler just to be sure. We want to stick to that and that goes for speaking about it OOC. The last thing we want is for someone to be spoiled for a show they haven’t got around to watching yet.

Now, Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas around the world in just a few days and since this is going to be one of the biggest movies in a very long time, we want to be extra careful and mindful with this one. Please, please refrain from talking about the movie for at least a month (not even any tw spoiler posts). If you do wish to talk about it, IM each other! But, we want to make sure nothing is ruined for people who may be looking forward to getting the full experience in the cinema. After a month has passed, it’ll be okay to make posts as long as they have tw spoiler in the tags. 

All we ask is be mindful of each other and lets all enjoy the things we love without ruining it for anyone!

Happy Easter Weekend! We had a couple small things we wanted to go over real quick!

First, with it being a holiday weekend we’ve decided to push out the activity check from tomorrow to Tuesday, that way everyone can enjoy some time with their family and friends and not worry so much about being on this weekend. 

Secondly, we’ve noticed a couple of things that have popped up since our last admin note that we wanted to address. Please be mindful of plot schedules, we have them in place so that nobody’s plots get overshadowed. We know that everyone is excited about their specific plots and we want to celebrate them but we need to keep it fair. If you have something coming up in a few months, please be mindful of that and not start bringing it up to everyone now, it’s not fair to those who have plots currently going on. 

In regards to pregnancy plots, while it’s fine to talk about the pregnancy throughout the 9 weeks, please make sure you’re being mindful of other plots, too. If there’s something on the town calendar that week, try not to bring up something major during those reserved dates, as it’s not fair to those with new plots starting. Also be aware that sometimes some pregnancy plots will coincide with each other so try not to rain on someone else’s plot by constantly mentioning your own especially if it’s their given dates for the plot.

Happy Monday lovely members!

We just had a quick thing we wanted to touch on. As we’ve noticed an influx in starters (which is great) we’ve also noticed a lack of replies to starters. Please, please, please make sure you are replying to starters and keeping those replies going! It’s very discouraging for a new member or someone bringing in a new celeb to see others replying around their starters. While we all love the connections we’ve built it’s always nice to make new connections too. So if you see a new starter or an older one lacking notes please give it a reply. Our starter masterlist for January can be found here. 

We’ve also been noticing an issue with the activity tab not notifying us of everything, so if you’ve posted a starter and it’s not been boosted within a few hours please send us a message so we can get it boosted!
