December was a rough month, which was unsurprising because it has been a rough year (also yeah this is late sueme I had an amazing NYE).

.... not sure whether I want this to be an ongoing series yet but yo, consider this an update. Got a few new years resolution type things and contemplating a giveaway in Feb but WE SHALL SEE #non committal and lazy.

week 50, wednesday:  

Had a mediocre day at work. On any other day the shit that got thrown at me today would’ve been fine. But today was just one of those days. 

Our hearing went overtime, my holiday leave wasn’t approved, I had christmas shopping to run and then someone accidentally threw my lunch in the bin.  

Lack of sleep makes me a little bitch who knew

Making mountains outta molehills. 

But past me did a good job of looking out for current me -- queued up some “tell me why you follow me on anon” post which led to some very nice anons in my inbox.

Made me smile as I staggered my way to the train station. 

A huge thank you to  @mmond, @gukii, @studyspiration-coffee for your kind words and to @studywithautumn for checking up on me, as always. 

Bestie came over for impromptu dinner, we wrapped christmas presents and I felt like I wasn’t drowning anymore. 

It’s the little things.

Your post about exam failure was honestly so perfectly timed, thank you! I had an absolutely horrific calculus exam today and it took me 5 Carly Rae Jepsen songs before I felt better. I definitely need to find a way to be more responsible with my school work, but your post was definitely a start. <3

I’m glad that the post helped! And that it only took 5 Carly Rae Jepsen songs! I usually take an entire album and copious amounts of food, yt videos and a stalk on the reallawblr tag ngl. 

And while it’s frustrating to feel behind/ disorganised/ irresponsible with school work, hell it’s ok. It’s ok. Because that’s part and parcel of being human. That’s part and parcel of life, really. 

If it’s not school work, it’ll be something else. 

We all gotta start somewhere.
