UM MMVAs: Memorable Red Carpet Entrance

As big as the MuchMusic Video Awards are on...well duh awards and music, red carpet entrances have also become e big deal, with artists showing up to the annual awards show in style and a variety of unique ways. We're looking back on some of our favorite entrances of the night, which you can read below!

Jenna Malone Can we talk about Hunger Game hottie Jenna Malone arriving at the 2014 MMVAs? So, 29 year old Malone, came in with a sport car, squeezing the anticipation of the crowd to see who is coming so fashionably late. Jenna hops out of the car, bursting with excitement and heads over to speak and take pictures with her fans. There is no doubt Jenna Malone was amazingly rad when she entered the carpet. Not only did Jenna acknowledge her major role in the Hunger Games series but she also did talk about how much she enjoyed being in Canada, and later that night, she gave out some free donuts! What a sweetheart ! She was definitely my favorite red carpet memory from this year’s 2014 MMVAS. By: Maryam Said

Down With Webster Red carpet entrances at the MMVAs are always something else, and this year was no exception. The most memorable one for me has to be Down With Webster, who arrived in a big truck. When the truck arrived, rapper Bucky hopped out with a red cup in hand, followed by the rest of the band, all ready to party. One of the group’s hits was called “Big Wheels,” and this truck definitely fits in with that theme! By: Kathleen Carpo-Garcia

Marianas Trench Marianas Trench had a lot to live up to this year, as they always seem to out do their red carpet entrances year after year. This year, they definitely outdid themselves arriving in pj's on a giant bed full of pillow feathers. Don't know if they'll get any fashion creds for the look, but the entrance was grand! Victoria Duffield The Victoria, BC native came down on to the MMVA red carpet in a red car with flag barers, which was only fitting as the singer-songwriter, dancer and actress released her sophomore album Accelerate via Warner Music Canada. The metallic skater dress complimented Duffield, in addition to showcasing the young songstress’ newly dyed blonde hair By: Amandah Opoku

VJ Tyrone Although not an artist, VJ Tyrone KILLED his MMVA red carpet entrance when he showed up to the red carpet with T-Rex. Talk about dinosaurs making a come back..for real! By: Amandah Opoku

Well it has been a minute since I did an obsession post. Here's to trying to get back into it. 

Starting with Kendall and Kylie Jenner's arrival looks at the Much Music Video Awards last night. Though on stage rarely throughout the night (probably for the best, live shows are not their strong suit), both Kardashian klan members looked gorgeous all night (as expected). I'm a little disappointed in aspiring high fashion model Kenny's struggle to pronounce her dress designer's name, but hey, she looked so good with those daredevil slits, I can look past it. 

And although I really enjoyed Ky's blue tinted hair, it's nice that she cleaned it up for the show. 

Overall I was genuinely impressed by both of them, mostly because my expectations were low.
