10, 15, 26 Your take on movies always fascinates me :)
well thanks, @mnhooch! :)
10. Whats a film you’re embarrassed to admit you’ve never seen? Do the Right Thing. It’s on my list. (There’s a number of movies that Cinéma People would tell me to be ashamed of not having seen, but I just have no interest in exposing myself to pulp fiction, clockwork orange, chinatown etc)
15. Your least favorite film that everyone seems to love? Two come to mind - Iron Man, and The Greatest Showman. With The Greatest Showman, I’m still just like.... I don’t get it. Movies whitewash terrible historical figures all the time, but aside from that I just didn’t think it was good??? I thought the music was so terrible (except maybe for that one inspirational one? This Is Me? That’s catchy and has a nice message). All spectacle and no heart, imo
26. If they remade any film today, what film would you choose? I’m a fan of remaking bad movies rather than good ones, so that you stand a better chance of making an improved product. So in that vein my answer to this question is usually Ella Enchanted, which had no right being as bad as it was. It’s a perfect book and it was so popular and beloved, Disney should have been able to just do a straightforward adaptation of it and it could’ve been great?? But instead they capitalized on the Shrek-mania approach of modern Medieval “””comedy””” and added a villain for no reason and I’m still pissed 15 years later
