Dear BIONICLE fandom,
Has anyone ever made a gif of Hahli training willpower? I need it for… research purposes 👀💦

Dear BIONICLE fandom,

An audio transcription of a part of the background music to LEGO BIONICLE's Mata Nui Online Game II (also appeared in the Flash episodes) by Templar Studios.
These games and episodes were my life as a kid and I've never been able to forget the music.
I actually had a partial live recording of this, but since I can't access a bass marimba now because of lockdown I can't finish it, meaning this is rendered MIDI.
I’m fucking losing it because the Ga-Koro track in MNOG 2 sounds like the beginning riff in He Lives in You from TLK 2
I’m amused because I love both BIONICLE and TLK but am also weirded out from the uncanny resemblance
This is a suite I wrote years ago out of BIONICLE music -- from the movies, the games and the episodes -- for an odd, thrown-together orchestra. I have posted this online before on different websites.
Original music by Nathan Furst, Templar Studios and probably more people, arrangement by me.
This is rendered MIDI. I did get the chance to perform this once, but I only have a very bad recording of it.
I'm currently working on adapting this for full concert band/symphonic wind orchestra and improving it by adding more tunes. I will post that in due course.
When I get back (which will be on the 21st, not the 18th) I might try beating MNOG 2.
vibes today are thinking about barely remembered old mmos and like imagining the feeling of going and getting lost for hours doing monotonous tasks in Runescape and sometimes talking to all the weird faeries and mushrooms and eye-bleedingly-neon-blue wizards in there.
there's like a liminal dream realm half-awake where you could maybe get trapped doing that (you enter it by falling through the trapdoor in someone's house party. either that or by eating too much gnome food)
Or being little Hahli wandering around lost in MNOG II for weeks unable to ever figure out how to reach the ending because there was an unfixed glitch between-chapters with the Le-Koro Crystal where you couldn't reach its room :(
Did anyone else spend seriously so much time grinding in that game like holy fuck , my hand hurts just thinking about boulder clicker hell. I got stuck unable to beat kohlii games for sooo long and at times forgot I even needed to do them.
pictured: the lowest circle of videogame hell
that was the alternate timeline where Hahli wasn't good enough at kohlii and just became a wandering cryptid vagabond that shows up in random places & sometimes gives you some pieces of grass and rocks she found
sometimes she would go try kohlii and Macku would still play with her out of pity, then when they got absolutely destroyed Macku would be like "oh.. great try Hahli :) ... hey it would be a great if you went into the middle of the Wastes and trained with a hermit for 40 years ... I mean none of us other players had to do that but don't worry about it haha"
I remember when I was a kid at one point I actually wanted to be like Hahli and went outside and tried to craft stuff from grass and shells or something (???? idk what I was thinking lol. I think the widget grinding maybe fried my brain)
also LEGO flash games in general a liminal space for me. (this all is the vibe of 'HEAVEN IS CLOSED' but i forgot to write about it.) people always say that spending the majority of your life in the virtual world fries your brain but i am perfectly fine today LOL... anyway i was wanting to feel what bread tastes like o_o i'm gonna go in minecraft and munch munch on it (maybe even a modded bread)
omg.. thre's so many breads 😋 https://harvestcraftmod.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Bread
