Fun Halloween nails! This was a couple of Mo You Halloween plates, really sad they’re discontinuing selling plates to sell part cured nail strips instead. The orange and green in this were Barry m hi vis neons over white and I think they worked pretty well!

Spindle Magazine : Nail Art - The Great Escape

Festival season is just upon us and we have a series of festival inspired beauty tutorials lined up and ready to get you in the spirit!  

Get your glitter pots ready and your brightest pigments out, but first effy-nails is back with a fun and colourful nail art tutorial. To celebrate the Spindle takeover at The Great Escape this weekend,  she has created this Rainbow-Brighton worthy look!

How To Get The Look 

Shape nails and paint on a  thin base coat with A La Carte Ridge Filler (1)

Paint 2 coats of OPI Need Sunglasses (2) and leave to dry

Using a striper brush, paint a curved line using OPI Fly (3) to the top of the nail

Clean the striper brush in between colour and paint another thick, curved line with Models Own Bubblegum (4) under the blue shade.

Continue to paint another thick, curved line with Models Own Pukka Purple (5)

Dot a spot of Seche Vite Topcoat (6) where you want to place gems. Using Mo You Nail Art Rhinestones (7) place a large gem in the corner of the nail. Using tweezers can make this step less fiddely. Scatter smaller gems with heart and star shapes on each colour strip to create a playful feel.

Finish with a coat of Seche Vite (6) for a high shine finish and to set the rhinestones in place.
