Totosai frowned, not spotting his ox.

“Where’s Mō-Mō? You said you’d watch him while I took that job on the continent.”

Rin swallowed. “Well, he kinda…ran away.”

“...ran away where?”

“Uh…” She shifted on her heels, sweating nervously. “Rin doesn’t know.”

Totosai was apoplectic. “You don’t know!” His huge eyes bulged. “Where the Hell is my ox!”

A few provinces over, a gang of criminals were celebrating, thinking they’d just hit the jackpot.

“No mistaking it this time, boys! This one’s definitely Sesshomaru’s bride!”

His accomplice snorted. “Man, when you said she was a cow, you meant it.”

“Moo!”

Part 1

An unexpected rival emerged when Kohaku showed up with Kirara. The sight of A-Un cuddling the swordsmith’s faithful ox sent the nekomata into a territorial huff.

She’s jealous, Sesshomaru realized as the cat hissed at the mismatched couple.

Kirara pounced onto Mō-Mō, licking it’s head and—in contrast to it’s indifference towards A-Un—the ox happily nuzzled her back.

“Oh no,” Rin said. “A love triangle.”

Watching A-Un slink away in heartbreak made Sesshomaru livid. Despite his dislike of their choice of boyfriend, the idea of his magnificent steed being rejected was unacceptable.

He was ready to negotiate with Totosai.

Part 2

The swordsmith chuckled. “Looks like my Mō-Mō’s quite the stud. But, what’s the problem, Sesshomaru? It seems like Kirara’s done you a favor.”

Totosai took a deep breath, portending a spew of fire, and Sesshomaru imagined how easy it would be to pop those ballooning cheeks with a single claw.

He couldn’t let A-Un lose, though. Idiot cow. He’d gobble him up. Bones and all.

“Name your price, old man.”

“Stop threatening to eat Mō-Mō.”

“Never.”

Totosai shrugged. “Strange hill to die on, but okay. What would you suggest?”

“You get to keep all your limbs.”

“Deal! Wedding’s back on.”
