Hi there, I was wondering if you had any resources on how to prevent a spirit from interfering with tarot card readings. I banished it from my home with a woman's help, but it continues to butt into my tarot readings and prevents me from talking to my guide and companions. I've really had enough and need help to figure out what to do next. Thank you!

First here are a few questions to ask:

Have the cards themselves been cleansed recently or after the banishment?

Has the house been cleansed after the banishment?

Have wards been updated or redone lately?

Are there any lingering sessions still open?

Is there anything the said spirit is trying to tell you, besides being generally rude?

If the spirit has nothing to say or share, then here are some resources to deter the spirit and reclaim your cards.

This informative post on Warding by elvenwitch gives tips and and a run-down of how to make wards with several different methods included in it.  

An excerpt from their post on warding divination tools is here:

“How to Incense/Spritz Ward an Item 

Smoke or spray item.Visualize the smoke or spray clinging to the item and wrapping around it like a tight blanket, protecting it from anything that would cause harm (or interference, etc.).”

Here is a master post by Slyvaetria of different methods of protective wards and other measures to keep what you would like out. Included in this master post are a variety of spells and it comes in 3 parts. The one linked is the first in the series.

Other methods for warding divination tools can be up to you. Should you desire to do energy work, magic (through means of spells), voice, or something personal is up to you. Warding can buff your cards up after you cleanse them.

As for deterring the spirit, here are some more banishment resources: 

This post here is a master post of banishment resources by Thesigilwitch (now Sylvaetria). Included in the post are a variety of different methods to combat a spirit intruding on your cards and personal space.

This post by Merkavahpartyvan talks about spirits who will not leave even after a banishment. This is recommended if you believe this is your case. Please know that spiritual abuse is covered in this post, just as a warning. The focus of the post is mainly on abuse from demons and involves angels, but there is information worthy of further reading.

Here is an excerpt from their post:

“Sometimes all you have to do is inform an entity clearly that it is time for them to leave, then literally open your door and announce the door is open and they can leave. We’ll cover some more simple techniques like this later. They’re less likely to work with entities that have entangled themselves in your social or spiritual life.”

If you are versed in energy work, try to examine your deck for any attachments and see if you can remove them. Then cleanse the deck and reapply a ward on them. If not, one of the previous posts mentioned should provide some aid or further direct you to possible solutions.
