Can you pretty please give me a lil crash course on the mob au?

I just read the first part and um loveeee, I NEED answers with that cliffhanger! 😩🥰

I assume I've missed a bunch of blurbs or something? I have looked at the masterlists and no answers, just like who is with who and any lil pieces of info I feel I'm missing?

a lot of it has been just discussed through asks tbh!! I’ll put all the tags in this ask so you can look through them

but the main who’s who is that you obviously have the devils (other teams will come into it eventually like trevor with the ducks and mat with the islanders and blah blah blah)

rogue, you’ve met, is nico’s girl. former ranger, now a devil. obviously thrown into the whole arranged marriage with nico

doc, who you meet in jack’s fic, is one of the only girls who’s actually just a normal civilian. she’s a med student that kinda gets sucked into the mob life

star is someone who’s under the devils protection. she escaped another mob and kinda went under nico’s protection, but she works in a strip club where she collects information for nico and the devils to use and exploit (since people don’t know the club is owned by the devils)

and then you have candy who is timo’s little sister. she’s a part of the devils for as long as timo has been. and she’s very out there, loud, extravagant—basically the opposite of john

those are the main girls. there’s a few other recurring characters you’ll meet soon👹

JACK GOING TO THE MED SCHOOL BALL AS DOCS DATE

Logically idk how that would work tho, cause if I remember correctly docs school is not in devs territory.

Idk, it's just fun to think about. Especially cause doc is very much a tired student, so Jack rarely, if ever, gets to see her all dolled up. But for the ball, she's dressed to the nines, and Jack is just drooling the whole time. And he's so happy to be there as her arm candy and support his super smart girl. And when they get home, he goes feral like "baby you have no idea what that dress has been doing to me all night"

no because now I’m CACKLING at the idea that whenever jack wants to go support his girl, nico has to call the other mob boss and ask for permission for jack to enter the territory like parents talking about a kid going over for a play date😭😭😭😭

I haven’t decided exactly which area doc is from other than it’s nearby (i know it won’t be rangers because that’s firmly with nico’s girl so been there done that agshsbshbssb) but it still makes me giggle

jack just being a wee bit of a menace too and always sends the mob boss a wee fruit basket like “thanks for letting me be my girl’s trophy boyfriend!”

like obviously all of the girls would be livid if their boy was taken (we literally saw rogue single-handedly go and save nico) but there's something about jack and doc that would make the whole thing a bit more !!!!

because chaos would ensue if jack got kidnapped. the devils would be livid, luke would be panicking, nico would be taking up the role of a leader so well to get him back. but doc is just...angry

and imagining this scene where they are trying to bench her or keep her out of the loop and she isn't having it. she loves jack and she's a part of this world and she doesn't give two shits if she doesn't have the experience the rest of them do in the mob world, she is getting the love of her life back or everyone can be damned

is she scared shitless? oh absolutely but that fear doesn't stop her from finding out whoever took jack and getting her own revenge. and maybe there's a few jokes about jack rubbing off on her but that still doesn't stop her from using her own strengths to get him back

imagining a scene in mob!jack’s fic where quinn’s anniversary comes up.

imagining jack acting out more than usual. he’s being snappy and rude and almost goading people into fights. he’s pushing luke away and he’s being an ass and he’s making stupid mistakes like he wants nico to punish him for it.

imagining nico sending one of the boys out to get doc. imagining her being given a small run down before she knocks on jack’s door and he’s ready to snap at whoever is on the other side.

imagining he tries to push doc away too, even if he knows she doesn’t deserve this treatment. that none of the boys do.

imagining she just brings him into a hug and the last of his resolve just crumbles. and for the first time that day, he lets himself cry for the brother he couldn’t save.

That mob!au reaction post if the girls got injured had me thinking about doc getting a wee mob related injury and Jack going absolutely fucking feral.

As soon as he spots blood, he's lost it.

And doc ends up needing a couple stitches. And she has to do them herself, and it's fucking hell (idk if youve ever had to give yourself stitches, i have. Its the worst fucking thing ive ever experienced in my life. And i jave a lretty high pain tolerance if i do say so myself, but theres something about having to give yourself stitchesthat for some reason makes it the worst pain ever.) So she ends up coaching through clenched teeth and Jack is so so terrifies of hurting her.

no because I am SO EXCITED to write about doc being hurt in their fic (which sounds very weird now that I’m typing it) purely for the reason that jack would genuinely be the most unhinged/feral if something happened to his girl

like pure shaking with rage and I think because he’s already lost someone close to him because of mob related shit (aka quinn) it would make him even more emotional and raging when she’s hurt🫠because he refuses to lose another person due to something that was partially his fault but at least this time he’s big enough and strong enough to save her, unlike he was able to do with quinn😭

and she uses cartoon plasters to try and put him off always coming to her to patch him up, but it becomes a love language🥹and he gets huffy when she uses the peppa pig plasters on someone else because that’s their thing

Why do I feel like John pulls up, giving Jack the hardest time. Like dragging him by the ear like "you FUCKING fOoL"

And Luke is just like, "i can't believe my brother is the dumbass who dragged a civilian into this shit because he thought she was cute" looking up into the heavens like "quinn pls come collect YOUR brother"

And Nico (who is absolutely smitten for his girl) is like "just let the man live, he cant help that he likes her" and "dw jacky we will protect her, but ur a dumbass "

OKAY BUT IRONICALLY😭

me and lee were talking about nico just being so exasperated by the whole thing. he is just baffled at the way jack keeps going all the way out into enemy territory because he has a wee crush but he is like, "nico🥹she is so pretty tho"

and the only way the boy breaks is because his own wife takes jack's side and gives him shit for stopping true love and he is just like, "she doesn't even like him back???"

and then suddenly he is trying to play cupid so his wife stops ignoring him and he is just muttering to himself like, "i can't believe this is what my life has come to"

I love how doc is mainly composed and slightly frazzled but when it comes to jack she’s like “you touch him I skin you 🫵. alive 🫵”

kinda cackling at the idea that doc has the most disturbing threats in the whole series and the devils are just like, “what are they teaching you in medical school????”

meanwhile doc is just like, “yous are all literal criminals for your day job, how is that the worst you’ve heard?”😭
