   oh man. tbh this dynamic has only really just started developing but i’m already enjoying it ngl,, i already kind of have a default opinion for sonic to have whenever it comes to the character, but your portrayal of scourge is certainly a special case. at least as far as shadow’s concerned, LMAO. i’m just amused by this stupid rivalry over shadow even though sonic really shouldn’t have anything to worry about. he’s still just like 😒 @ scourge anyway asdkjh

   i already kinda touched on how sonic views scourge in a general sense but i’ll just sum it up again here real quick: sonic has a complicated view on the guy. he’s not archie-verse, so he’s unfamiliar with what scourge has done besides possibly hearing rumors ? either way, he’s got a general dislike / distrust for him. namely because he kinda reflects the type of person sonic thinks he could of ended up becoming had he taken the wrong paths in life- which he almost did. still, he can’t help but wonder what happened that led scourge to turn out the way he did. in a way sonic feels kinda bad for him, not that he’d admit it. it’s one of those rare instances where sonic’s actually too prideful to admit that he cares. 

   so as far as some sort of familial bond developing ? i think if they actually got to know each other instead of just fighting or trash talking one another, maybe sonic could get over himself a little bit. truth he told, he knows hardly anything about the guy other than what he takes at face value. but until be actually finds something to tolerate abt scourge and something he can relate to, it’s probably just gonna be reluctant rivalry from him :’D
