MobileSyrup Reviews the Tamagotchi Pix, Also Complains About Touch Buttons
Another tech review of the Tamagotchi Pix! MobileSyrup, a Canadian technology news website has posted their full review of the latest Tamagotchi in North America. In the review we really appreciate that MobileSyrup mention the previous Tamagotchi On, and provides high praise for the graphics of the modern day Tamagotchi, but this review sure does contain some criticism.
The review covers the caretaker, and reviewer, Brad Bennett’s experience with the Tamagotchi Pix. This starts off with the attribute quiz and shortly after receiving your first egg. Brad criticizes the touch buttons, and is not the first reviewer to do so. “These are horrible and the buttons included in the Tamagotchi Pix Bandai sent me aren’t even perfectly centered.” Brad complains. We did like to se that Brad reviews the benefit of these touch buttons, including the ability to switch scenes between your living space, outdoors, and your career space.
Brad reviews the cooking feature of taking two pictures of two items and mixing them together to create new delicious foods, and the ability to customize items such as furniture in your living space. Also the explore feature gets some praise for meeting new characters, but can get old fast after you find a couple. However there are over one hundred Tamagotchi friends to find!
The conclusion of the review from MobileSyrup is that the Tamagotchi Pix provides the standard Tamagotchi experience with some new features. Die-hard fans and children will most likely enjoying using it, but the camera does not add too much to the experience. Lastly Brad wishes a modern Tamagotchi screen would be placed onto an older and slimmer Tamagotchi model with physical buttons. At $75 CAD, MobileSyrup finds the Tamagotchi Pix’s features “underwhelming”.
