Some of the content will get lost by viewers if they are not watching the entire thing intently. So what +Debi Davis has done here by highlighting key points in various ways with Clickable Time Stamps is actually quite valuable.
This video is a HOA (Hangout on Air) discussion about using Mobile HOA techniques to open up the remote, on the scene broadcasting world to all of us.

As +Jessica Dewell often does, she opened the +Jess + Scott + You show by sharing some “teabag” wisdom: *Happiness comes when you overcome the most impossible challenge.*
The show featured people on the Mobile HOA team* – a subset of the Hangout Mastery Group led by +Ronnie Bincer While Mobile HOAs (MHOA) aren’t an _impossible challenge,_ there is a learning curve. During this show, we talk about it.
Ronnie explained what a MHOA is at 19:34 in this video. Some of the equipment used can be seen at 20:34
The filmstrip members have been working on refining the MHOA process for a while – some for a couple years. A team was formed around a recent high-profile event, #SXSW14 – aka South by Southwest. Last week, members of that team ran MHOAs at a local event for Champions For Kids in Razorback Stadium.
South by Southwest 2014
Ronnie and +Jeff Sieh went to Austin, TX in March. Using a stealthy equipment set-up that allowed them to move through the crowds, they conducted interviews. Using hangouts, with the support of a remote team that was running “the control room,” those interviews were live streamed and shared immediately across the Internet.
Here are time stamps for pieces of the conversation about that project
30:53 Setting up systems to test; schedules on spreadsheets; anticipating challenges
32:21 Three weeks of testing with the team of 23
32:57 Equipment; compared to first attempt at SXSW in 2013
34:00 Logistics of managing people and learning what to do
34:55 Bandwidth issues. Backup equipment. The team behind the MHOA interviews
35:57 The SXSW team transferred over to the CFK
36:14 Hangout chat for control room communication. Testing in advance.
38:59 The practice is what made CFK seem easy relative to SXSW
* Champions for Kids*
Seeing the potential for using MHOA technology to amplify and extend the reach of a local event, +Jim Shankle put out a call in the Hangout Mastery Community and quickly assembled a control-room team to support a local charity event in NW Arkansas that is near and dear to his heart – Champions For Kids – #CFKMHOA With the good experience of SXSW fresh in our heads, several of us enthusiastically jumped at the chance to put our skills to work. We were happy to discover that the systems and processes developed for SXSW worked beautifully for:
21:42 Champions for Kids; and for
43:43 The NW Arkansas Children’s Shelter gala
41:34 Jim received some intensive training before entering the crowd with his camera and microphone
