Character Drawing #2 on Reddit Request.
[LFA] Nick Fletcher1, Mobility Troop, 22 SAS
Name: Nicholas Fletcher
Occupation: British army sergeant within Mobility Troop, 22 SAS Regiment
Notable Features: Muscular bloke of 6’3”, only just on the right side of forty. Facial features are somewhat reminiscent of Josh Lenn (as depicted here: http://tinyurl.com/hr3rqvz sans facial burns/rash/insert fan theory here). As a staple of all action heroes, Nick sports permastubble and a grizzled face, though that may be down to age and lack of proper moisturiser. Facial cam cream is optional and hair is dark and kept short.
Character's Race: Caucasian Human
Character's Equipment: Clothing wise, the current look is Multi- Terrain Pattern smock (Union Flag subdued velco insignia on the left arm) and trousers, scrim net scarf and MTP boonie. Kit wise, daysack and webbing. Weaponry consists of an L85A2, SIG Sauer P226 (thigh holster) and a Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife (shoulder harness). The two firearms are as depicted here: http://tinyurl.com/hj6ev2s
Character's companion: N/A
Character's backstory: Nick was born in 1978 to a mining family in North Yorkshire. They weren’t rich, but they had a roof and food on the table. Thatcher’s closure of the coal pits however changed all that and Nick’s father, like so many others, was hard pressed to find a new job after spending the entirety of his working life underground. Nick’s school record was poor, with average to low marks in his work and plenty of detentions or worse.
He left secondary school with little to show for it and little job prospect. With few options open to him, he took the Queen’s shilling and joined the army as a boy soldier at 16. Skip forward five years, and the mandatory three years necessary before attempting SAS selection and Nick finally gained the tan beret and winged dagger after his second and final go at entry into the unit. What followed thereafter cannot be posted here for security reasons (and because I’m too lazy to think of anything) but at 25 Nick was married and a year later he and Sarah brought a baby girl Natalie, into the world.
In 2016 and half a year after losing Sarah to a motorbike accident Nick finds himself more and more disconnected from his daughter and only a few years from retirement from the army. On a training exercise in the States he finally decided to throw the towel in early to be there for Natalie. Unfortunately that plan was quickly shot down in the face of a zombie pandemic that decimated the world in a matter of weeks. With no closure as to his daughter’s fate, the sole survivor of unit and the only person he can trust being a drunk and bitter army ranger,
Nick now faces the post-apocalyptic wastelands and the overrun city of Fairview in a series of misadventures that I probably won’t get round to writing until this mountain of coursework is out of the way.
Here is your request and now I’m little boring this military theme for now. Wanna draw some female characters again!!!
