send me a ship and I’ll tell you who:
Hanji initially shops for groceries, but it is always An Ordeal. Generally it takes forever, and Hanji ends up buying a lot of ingredients that either a. do not make meals or b. end up being eaten separately until they cannot possibly make the meal they were intended for. The result is Moblit having to go back to either pick up the missing ingredients or else pick up Real People Food.
Hanji generally lets the spiders live and sometimes fantasizes about the little spidery lives they must lead. If a spider must be removed, it can generally be ushered outside alive. Meanwhile, Moblit gets very perturbed by spiders and often causes a scene upon one’s discovery until Hanji investigates and deals with the situation.
Hanji, definitely. Moblit tries not to imbibe and certainly not to excess, since dealing with his squadleader is a full-time gig. Knowing that Hanji might show up at some awkward hour too drunk to undress is a hell of a buzz kill, too.
Moblit does so both out of doting and out of concern. He worries often about whether or not his squadleader has been remembering to stop for meals and, especially when he spends the night, sees it as a good opportunity to show a bit of affection. It’s mostly the little things that make the difference.
remembers to feed the fish
Hanji loves keeping tank-based pets, especially of the non-mammilian varieties, but quite often the fascination goes in cycles based on stress levels and free time. Keeping and feeding fish and carnivorous insects (such as praying mantids) makes Hanji happy and keeps the desk from becoming too lonely. Sadly, when things get too involved, it comes down on Moblit to remember to feed the pets and squadleaders.
It depends on what you consider ‘decorating’. Hanji has a penchant for collecting things and sticking them haphazardly around, either painfully well aligned or at funny angles that seem to enhance them somehow. This isn’t just photos or pictures, but also bits of paper and random things that are either attractive or have some kind of assigned importance. Moblit attempts to put effort into decorating, and actually enjoys making a place more homey, but unfortunately has neither the time nor energy to do so with Hanji around.
Moblit isn’t usually one to sing, both because he’s not good at it and is easily embarrassed. He gets dragged into duets by Hanji out of a desire to please alone, and tends to be very quiet and hesitant. Hanji, meanwhile, belts out the lyrics with abandon, sometimes sacrificing tune for emphasis. They have fun.
Hanji, always. Moblit has a bad tendency to wait up to make sure his squadleader isn’t pushing too hard or too late, and won’t turn in until he’s ensured at least a few hours’ sleep for the scientist. When they sleep together, Hanji is prone to snuggling aggressively and falling asleep almost immediately, so he isn’t given the chance to be the last one awake.
