If you could live in any fictional world which world would you want to live in
the Twilight Mirage before the Divines started dying, zero doubt. my god i want to live in the Divine Fleet and have cool huge machines helping look after everyone and to live in a digital space that lets you be whoever you want.
Shiro's death has been faked so many times now (once in canon w/ the kerberos mission and twice IRL w/ the endings of seasons 1 & 2 and the constant is he/ins't he promo material) that it makes me hesitant to believe they will actually kill him. The reasons being 1) they've drained a lot of the emotional impact out of killing Shiro by crying wolf so many times 2) Shiro might be a red herring so that when a different character dies it's that much more unexpected. Thoughts?
You know why they split this season in two parts?
Cuz in the last episode of “season 3″ they gonna “kill" Shiro again
Only to show he’s alive and well again in “season 4″
It’s their thing now. They changed how they release the season just to do that again.
They gonna “kill” Shiro so many times, none of us is gonna believe they really gonna do it.

I do think he's gonna be straight up evil. Voltron doesn't seem to want to wade into any morally grey areas. Like, when Keith took Lubos hostage for 2.5 seconds everyone freaked out, but yet they never reflect upon the fact that they're killing (possibly hundreds) of galra??? All the time??? We'll see I guess.
I only disagree about the gray morality area. Zarkon was a good person at some point in the past and the fact that Shiro scratched the surface of that history with Allura sounds to me like this will come back to bite them in the future. The BoM are, in a sense, somewhat of a gray area. Their goal align’s with Allura’s which is why they’re cooperating but they made it clear enough that beyond that, they couldn’t care less. Additionally: the galra Keith helped inside the Weblum’s belly and Haggar being altean suggests we’ll still see more gray areas in the future. There’s still too much we don’t know yet before making that assumption.

When you say final production, do you mean they've almost finished all six seasons? Is it normal to be so far ahead of what's currently airing in terms of completed material? Just wondering cuz I was nervous about ppl quitting too.
It’s not uncommon, though there are other ways to work with it too. For example, Sugar and other staff working on SU have mentioned before that usually an episode is completed a whole year before it airs.
If I’m not mistaken, AtlA was a series that was mostly done before it aired, while Korra only had it’s first season finished before airing, and other seasons were produced as it got popular (hence why the delays between seasons as well).
Production of Voltron began in 2014, two years before it aired. By then they already had a contract of six seasons with Netflix, which is why Voltron is way ahead and we can enjoy the seasons with little delay in between them.
I have no idea how far ahead they though, it’s merely speculation. I see no reason for two directors to leave the show if it’s not because the show is getting close to completion (unless they quit themselves to work on other projects. It’s not impossible, I just think it’s too much of a coincidence).
Mind you, if they quite or were reassigned without the show being close to completion, this most likely means others replaced them (DW might have hired other directors or other staff might have been promoted) after they left, and we simply don’t know because no one has mentioned it or announced them.

I think what bugs me is when certain fans get super angry if other fans express the opinion that VLD (or any show really) not having romance would be perfectly fine or even preferable. They take that as an attack or they interpret that opinion to mean queer rep. isn't valuable, when really some ppl just don't like romance & enjoy exploring other types of love/relationships. Prioritizing platonic relationships doesn't make you a bigot & I wish ppl would relax.
As an aro person, I can’t even begin to start how much LESS representation a spec people have, so like. people saying gay rep is preferable to no romance? 🖕

1: What book did you last finish? When was that?
The Gift of Rain by Tan Twan Eng on the 13th so four days ago now. It was very beautiful and hard to read in places but I loved it a lot overall and if anyone else has read it, do you think Endo-san and Philip were lovers? It’s not stated explicitly but it seemed fairly strongly implied to me.
36: Name a book you consider to be terribly overrated
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. I’ve read a couple of his other books and had no problems with them but I could not even finish this one. It had no pacing or characters to speak of; the same names were used over and over again so I got hopelessly muddled, and there didn’t seem to be a plot.

Holy shit wtf? You work at library, right? So you have to trash any book that had an ebook equivalent?? That’s horrific. What about ppl who can’t afford smart devices or computers? Pls tell me I’m misunderstanding this.
Honestly I don't know how many books will be going; if it's only certain ebooks (we subscribe to a couple of different services) or only certain sections of the library--I would hope we're not trashing the novels but who knows.
It's not a public library, and computers are available to students, but yeah it's not always straightforward getting access; my friend runs linux and has horrible issues accessing ebooks. And of course if the server hosting the ebooks goes down the books vanish. If the australian dollar falls the books suddenly become more expensive, and there are any number of reasons why people might prefer paper anyway (surveys of students usually say they like having both.)
But hey, apparently it's progress and we should rush headlong into it.
