mochytea: that's awesome! do you have advice for networking or anything? my school isn't very good at helping us...

Well, I think what really got me started on my career is being active through social media. I started just posting works and sketches online in a lot of places, started participating in a few local art Facebook groups, and slowly but surely I started getting followers, requests and offers. Socializing online is a key element. Plus, make sure you have an online portfolio so people can look at your works if they’re interested. It doesn't even have to be a designated website or something - I just have a Flickr with my works in it.
