@Regrann from @vegantake0ver - Old post but let me remind you. The original meats were plant foods. We need to stop trying to replicate a western SAD diet with our vegan recipes and I'm not perfect. I slip up and eat processed vegan stuff sometimes. We don't need to be trying to eat soy burgers and mock meats. These are heavily processed foods and won't lead to long term health. If you think they are healthy you are kidding yourself. We need to be eating vibrant colorful seasonal fruits and veggies in their whole form or cooked without oil or as little as possible. We shouldn't be eating fried foods and all these junk foods or limiting them. Why do we want to eat fake meat? Why would we want to eat or endorse lab grown meat? Why are we trying to imitate death long term? As a transitional food soy and mock meats are cool but long term we should be coming up with our own amazing plant based recipes where food taste amazing but is medicinal to the body. Whole food plant based meals taste 100 times better than veggie burgers and veggie dogs and and the isolate soy mock meats. These fake processed foods even when vegan won't lead to optimal health for yourself. Also why are we pretending to eat animals. Why do we want to call something "chicken" or "beef" ? I understand we all ate animals and loved the taste but understand that was a taste for death. Let that shit go!! Have discipline. We need it if we are ever going to get a real revolution going. If you want optimal health eat raw and fresh plant based foods or cook with whole foods.
