Hello all, thank you so much for supporting this blog through the nearly two years we’ve been around now.

With the popularity of QSMP and other Spanish-speaking streamers, we would love to be able to accurately transcribe clips in Spanish as well, and to make our transcriptions more accessible to the Spanish-speaking public. Unfortunately, none of our mods currently speak Spanish!

We’d like to invite those who speak Spanish and are interested in transcribing to join us as a mod on this blog. No prior experience with transcriptions are necessary. If you are interested, please either fill out this form or send us an ask and one of our mods will reach out.

Tagging update!

Hey everyone- due to the recent situation with trigger tags, we will be changing our tagging system. Rest assured, we’ll still be tagging- but we will now be removing tw and cw from our tags and just tagging the trigger itself: e.g. instead of bold tw we’ll tag it as bold. 

Additionally, we’ll be changing the flash warning trigger tag to pulsing lights. Have a great day and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to hop in our inbox!

Mumbo: Okay, let’s explain this thing.  When you power a redstone line it gets a signal strength. When powered with a torch, lever, or redstone block it gets a signal strength of 50. That strength goes down by 1 with each block the redstone line runs until eventually it goes to 0 and is no longer powered. The comparator outputs the same signal strength that comes in. This is different than a repeater which always outputs a signal strength of 15 regardless of the strength that goes in. That’s signal strength.

Mumbo: Now onto comparing. In regular mode if the signal strength going into the side is greater than the signal strength going into the back, it won’t output anything. If you have 8 strength going into the back and 11 going out the side, it won’t output anything. In subtract mode, it will subtract the strength from the side from the strength going to the back. So if you want a signal strength of 8 into the back  of the comparator, and 3 into the side of the comparator, it will output a signal strength of 5. Comparators can also take outputs from containers, the signal strength increasing with fullness. So, that’s the comparator!
