Calling All Pinch Hitters!
First of all, thank you very much for your patience. We did not expect such a large turn out and it is both mods’ first time running a swap. We hit some snags and bumps and we gratefully see your feedback and constructive criticism!
That being said!
We are nearing the end of our swap. The turn out was amazing and we do have a couple people with extensions who between now, Jan 10th, and Jan 15th.
(NOTE:You don’t have to have participated in the swap so far to pinch hit! All are welcome!)
As of right this moment, there are a little over fifty people who have not received their gift. Some of those people’s artists/writers have asked for an extension, but some gift creators have simply seemed to vanish. We need pinch hitters for those people, so everyone will get a gift.
We are creating a claims form in google docs (which opens noon PST on Sunday Jan 12th) where you can review the people who still need a gift and see their prompts. Then, once you’ve picked out a prompt (or multiple prompts!) you’d like to create for, you can fill out a claims doc (I’ll link both documents as soon as Janthony finishes with them). We’ll assign everyone as quickly as possible and email you with the person/prompt you’ve been assigned - hopefully within a day or so. You’ll have ten days from the date you receive your pinch hit to create an artwork or 2500 words of fic for your recipient.
Our goal is to make sure that EVERYONE has a gift by the end of January. We’re both prepared to pinch hit as many gifts as we can on our own, but there’s no way we can do 50+ in two and a half weeks, so we’re reaching out for help! As a thank you, all pinch hitters will receive a tumblr badge (a 540 × 250 png file) OR a discord emoji (300x300 png file) unless you would prefer neither.
