You’re Amazing

First thing's first. Thank you all so much for coming out in droves! You are, each and every one, of you greatly appreciated. It warms our hearts to see so many of you so willing to shoulder putting in extra time and effort for the only reward of helping out. You are, very much so, the epitome of fandom and it is heartening to see communities coming together to help where needed. 

Secondly, because of such an outpouring of support, we received 54 people who signed up to fill 28 prompts. That's nearly double! 

It is likely that some participants are looking to put together an "Everyday Swap" for non-anonymous fill requests and gifting. If it is put together we will reblog it on goodomensholidayswap.tumblr.com to boost the word, so watch there if you're interested.

Thank you, once again, for your support and those who signed up for claims, or for the swap in general, and for the people who are following for updates and watching for reblogs and posts of gifts. We hope very much so, that your love and kindness is returned to you tenfold in this new year.

We never could have done this without help from Tickety-Boo as well in the beginning. Calling All Pinch Hitters!

First of all, thank you very much for your patience. We did not expect such a large turn out and it is both mods’ first time running a swap. We hit some snags and bumps and we gratefully see your feedback and constructive criticism!

That being said!

We are nearing the end of our swap. The turn out was amazing and we do have a couple people with extensions who between now, Jan 10th, and Jan 15th.

(NOTE:You don’t have to have participated in the swap so far to pinch hit! All are welcome!) 

As of right this moment, there are a little over fifty people who have not received their gift. Some of those people’s artists/writers have asked for an extension, but some gift creators have simply seemed to vanish. We need pinch hitters for those people, so everyone will get a gift. 

We are creating a claims form in google docs (which opens noon PST on Sunday Jan 12th) where you can review the people who still need a gift and see their prompts. Then, once you’ve picked out a prompt (or multiple prompts!) you’d like to create for, you can fill out a claims doc (I’ll link both documents as soon as Janthony finishes with them). We’ll assign everyone as quickly as possible and email you with the person/prompt you’ve been assigned - hopefully within a day or so. You’ll have ten days from the date you receive your pinch hit to create an artwork or 2500 words of fic for your recipient.  

Our goal is to make sure that EVERYONE has a gift by the end of January. We’re both prepared to pinch hit as many gifts as we can on our own, but there’s no way we can do 50+ in two and a half weeks, so we’re reaching out for help! As a thank you, all pinch hitters will receive a tumblr badge (a 540 × 250 png file) OR a discord emoji (300x300 png file) unless you would prefer neither. 

You’ll also receive our eternal love and affection for helping us out of a tight spot!

How soon will we know for the prompts needing pinch hitters? I asked to claim one and I'm just wondering when I can get working if I got it

I just sent out the email about prompts/pinch hitters for who was able to claim them. We had a flood of people so the first responders were able to claim.

But it usually takes us about a day to get back to those emails due to life commitments.

Hi! I tried to reply to the email with my match because I have a question, but I got a "email does not exist" automatic response (which was very odd, as I simply hit reply on the email I received). What's the best way to contact the mods, then? I have a question about clearly up what my match prefers in their gift.

Any Issues?

We're collecting whatever issues may have happened, most likely due to standard human error while matching and emails being sent, and we'll address them all at once as soon as we see what's up and how many there are. 

Hopefully it's just a matter of things got mixed up between the people who had errors. Please let us know if you received anything that seems wrong and we'll get this fixed as soon as we can (and once we're sure everyone has seen/opened their emails).

Gifter Emails Sent!

Hey, everyone! Emails are going out now!!

A couple of notes: - You will be getting an email for every gift you signed up for. So if you signed up for two gifts, you’ll get two separate emails. - Your recipient should remain secret! 

We want everyone to be surprised when they get their gift. Please don’t talk about who your recipient is in the server, even if your recipient is not in the server. 

If there is a problem with your recipient that you need help with, please let the mods know privately as soon as possible. We’ll do everything we can to fix it for you. - Lastly, if you haven’t gotten an email yet, don’t worry! It’s coming soon.
