Preparation has started: send your prompt ideas now!

Mod Eon and I have started talking to one another and planning out prompts for this year! While I think we can come up with great ideas, I really want to bring in the community to give prompt ideas as well!

As you know, most our prompts each year are usually one word, and are unique to create a challenge.

For example...injury!

Note: that's not a prompt. I thought of the word just now.

I love how creative and fun you all are. I'd love to see more of it!!! So give us a word! Any appropriate word!

NAEGIRI WEEK 2022 - DECEMBER 5 - 11

Thank you for everyone's patience as the themes got rolled out! I collaborated with mod Eon to make sure we had some fun and interesting prompts.

I also will be making a post each day after this to give suggestions on what you could write or draw for the prompts just in case you get stumped like I do on a regular basis.

I hope you guys like the prompts and are inspired to participate this year!

Naegiri week is coming up soon and even I can't believe it! I actually finished my drawings a couple days ago. I'd be proud of myself if I didn't feel like the last few drawings were rushed. oops.

But anyway I've been feeling sick these past few days but Naegiri week keeps me going. om positive everyone's hard work will be the best medicine I can get

Autumn prompt ideas

I love this prompt because I love autumn.

When it comes to autumn pieces, I’m inspired by a song I played in high school band called October. Beautiful piece of music.

So I feel like I don’t need to help out too much with ideas, but you never know if someone has writers block or art block. 

Sure our week is in December, but it’s never too late for Halloween art. Going for some spooks perhaps? People make horror movies based around Christmas so why not? Nightmare Before Christmas? But of course!

So maybe the couple is at a pumpkin patch or an apple orchard? Drinking warm drinks while bundled up in cute scarves and hats on a date? Maybe they’re laying in a pile of leaves? 

Maybe they have a debate over the superior autumn flavor: Pumpkin Spice versus Apple Cider???

I’m excited to see all the beautiful autumn colors in this prompt!

Locked In/Out prompt ideas

I gotta thank Eon for this one since my original pitch was locked room. This has more variety.

That being said you could definitely do a locked room idea. Solving a locked room mystery, perhaps?

Maybe they're stuck in a room waiting for something tense. Or their friends locked them in a room and won't let them out until they confess their feelings?

Makoto's luck had him lose the house keys and they have to break into their own home? Maybe Makoto is the one locked out and Kyoko is there to save the day with lockpicking skills? Or the Skeleton key from DR1?

Did they have to shove themselves in a closet to avoid getting caught by a suspect?

What I like about this one is the storytelling aspect. How did they get locked in or locked out? How do they handle the situation? Are they close together which calls for blushing awkwardness?

I'm excited to see what you guys come up with!

"Past/Future" Prompt ideas

This one is fun because you can do either past or future. I guess both if you're really ambitious.

So what could be done? Maybe a drawing of the two meeting as little kids. Maybe they're playing at a park? You could also draw them back when they were Hope's Peak students without a care in the world.

Or heck! Go way back in the past and draw Naegiri in a different time period! Edo period Naegiri maybe?

Future for sure we have Danganronpa 3 Future Arc. There's also the Hope Arc...maybe you want to show them having a Future together afterwards? Marriage? Kids? Old people??? The Future is looking bright!

and of course like past, we can make a futuristic Naegiri AU! You know I think seeing a Cyberpunk themed art for Naegiri Week would be really cool. Futuristic neon detectives on the case!

Remember these are suggestions meant to help those stuck on ideas! If you have your own plans, definitely go for those!

Happy Wednesday! I'm thinking of making these little posts a thing for maybe each day of the week. if Eon and or you guys don't like it, I'll stop.

So today I've found myself under a lot of stress and anxiety. It had me thinking about how I've noticed a few people this week have said Naegiri is their comfort ship. When you're feeling down, you have your favorite ship to think about and everything feels better.

So if Naegiri is your comfort ship, why is that? what about them makes you feel warm and fuzzy on a cold day?
