Sam has waves in his hair I noticed in 1x06. Waves require daily brushing and upkeep and is often the privilege of close family or SERIOUS partners to help with. It's not as easy as it looks to get right, there are special brushes and everything, and everyone has their own preference.

Just a thought... in case anyone was writing domestic fluff...

Hi there, I saw your post about Japanese Sambucky Twitter's cute headcanon re: Bucky using his metal hand for BBQ, and I wanted to ask: where do you find Japanese Sambucky Twitter? I've been following Japanese Twitter's discussion about TFATWS (because I find it super interesting to see how Western media is percieved - e.g. why the heck was John Walker so popular over there?? 😂) but I can't find the shippers! Like, what is their ship name, actually? (Both サムバキ and バキサム don't seem to be widely used, and バキ翼 is more general) I've never had so much trouble finding the fandom before - is it so tiny? I follow one fan (happymodok) who posts great art but she mostly reblogs from only a handful other artists... So if you could point me in the right direction, I'd be forever grateful!! よろしくお願いしま~す! 😝

Sam has a very tiny non-eng fandom on Twitter and has shrunk a lot in the past few years... though I'm sure pixiv has far more content. A lot of accounts are private or abandoned, and not all are Japanese. #sambucky is still the most used tag along with #winterfalcon , including among non English fans. Happymodok is a great start and she follows most of the active artists. Names that come to mind recently are

In general most aren't as single-fandom as happymodok, she's a huge mackie fan in general (puts me to shame). The easiest way to find similar people is to look into the followrrs/following, but at my biggest estimate I'd say it's only about 100 folks and maybe 10 who contribute art. The fandom is so tiny there hasn't even been a comic market or fan event. That's the way it goes, though with success of tfatws it will likely grow a tiny bit.

As for John Walker?

There's a huge fandom for hydra!cap x bucky . I don't go on that side of the serengeti, but I suspect Johnny scratches the same itch.

Looking for good SamSteve or SamBucky fic?

Hi guys,

I’ve been a bit lax in tagging pairings on the writing tag, and now that it’s so big it’s hard to find what you want. But there’s at least a solution for the two big ships:

Most of our writing tag is made up of posts that have been reblogged from these feeds. Chances are if they have more than 1 or 2 notes, they’re good to go! If there are 0 notes, proceed with EXTREME caution, they did not pass my initial check and I won’t be reading them or reblogging them. 

If there’s a like from your favorite birb, I’m going to read the fic soon, but haven’t gotten the chance!
