As promised, we are re-opening sign ups for a second lot of intakes to join in starting week two. These members will be added to existing teams in order to even them out and expand.
☆ Teams
The potential teams you may pick from are as follows. In brackets are the existing number in the team. Teams with less current members will be accepting more new members.
Team Oso (29) ✦ Team Kara (28) ✦ Team Choro (24)
Team Ichi (30) ✦ Team Jyushi (26) ✦ Team Todo (27)
☆ A 7th Team?
Due to a large number of sign-ups and the practicality of hosting such big teams, we are considering having a seventh team available. If needed, new members and potentially ones from existing teams will get the chance to join this team.
do you know of any other blogs like this but for other shows?? ,,, its just a really cool concept i want to see expanded
I know of one and it’s @my-little-art-challenge. I participated in it 6 years ago which served as the inspiration for this one, but otherwise I haven’t seen any.
Earlier today we held a secret challenge in which certain members had to perform a hidden task for points. This took place over the period of an hour in the team servers.
☆ The Challenge: Dopplegangers
Twelve members, 2 from each team, were tasked with disguising themselves as one of the others and invading the server of who they were impersonating. Teams were then informed of a suspicion change within their server and, with 3 guesses available to them, had to work out what had happened.
☆ Participants
The participants from each team were:
Team Oso: @dibbydoodles @thebestmatsu
Team Kara:@checkazi @pomwawas
Team Choro:@copper-squirrel memamo3
Team Ichi: @deadreamed @skipzophreniic
Team Jyushi: @pkwheezing @jyushimatsuvu
Team Todo: @dat-voneja @just-atsushi
☆ Results
In the end, Team Ichi took the lead, working out exactly what happened and who was missing in a brisk 10 minutes. The rankings were as follows:
Team Ichi
Team Oso
Team Kara
Team Choro
Team Todo
Team Jyushi
Team Jyushi came in last, not being able to find the members in the allotted time frame. This left @dibbydoodles and @skipzophreniic as the winning players.
The points for this will be posted onto the scores page soon.
From Challenge Three, there were a number of amazing entries which have been nominated by team members as leaders to be voted upon as the winning entry of the game. These are a combination of solo and group projects from each team.
Winning points will be scored on the basis of participation, this vote’s results, and a vote among a panel of mods. The entries for Challenge Three are as follows:
☆ Entries
Team Entries:
Team Oso Dating Sim
Team Oso Pokemon Cards
(Team Kara) Pipisonas
Team Choro Intro Video
Persona 5 Team Ichi Messaging App
Team Jyushi Playing Cards (Part two)
Totty’s Cafe Staff Intro Video
Individual Entries:
@jyushinoodles‘ Game Opening Intro GIF
@jyushimatsurepliez‘ Osomatsu Ending Song
☆ Voting
To eliminate bias of players choosing their own team’s entry, voting will be done via ranking your favourites. Make sure to look at every single entry before voting and rank the entries to most to least favourite in the following poll.
If you would wish to sign up for the Matsu Games’ week 2 intake, please fill out the following Expression of Interest form so we may get an idea of numbers.

This will help us see how many people are interested in joining, and if we should make a seventh non-matsu team or if we should expand current team sizes.
Look at the time... it’s time for Challenge Three!
Well done, you got past Challenge One! Now your team has a name for itself and a sense of community. So, what’s next?
☆ The Challenge: Introductions
Although your team is well known, not everyone knows the individual members of each team. Even worse, some players may not be familiar with everyone in their own team.
Your challenge involves getting your name out as a proud team member in whatever way you can.
However, as usual, points will be accredited for the originality of your idea. If you want to score those extra points, think beyond ‘Meet the Artist’ lists and start brainstorming something that will beat the other teams in the knees.
This team goes for 48 hours and thus ends 3am EST of the 15th.
Well, more or less. As you may know the first Matsu Games Challenge was announced and began earlier today. Here is a more in-depth explanation of the challenge, what it entails, how to participate, and how to win.
☆ The Challenge: Getting the Word Out
Congratulations! You’ve been picked for one of the teams in the Matsu Games! You’re starting to get along with other members, play fun pranks on your rivals, and are overly eager for the challenges to start so you can lead your team to victory.
However, there’s one thing. Your team doesn’t quite have any fans or even a home-base set up. Your first challenge is to fix that.
This challenge will go for 48 hours with the goal being to boost your team and its blog as much as possible. The winning team will be judged on how many follower’s they have by the end of this time, how many people submit, and the originality of ideas used in submissions.
This challenge closes midnight the 12th EST.
More specific details under the cut!
☆ Blogs / Twitters
The ultimate goal of this challenge is to be the team in the lead in followers, both on Tumblr and Twitter. If you aren’t following your team’s blog you better go do that now!
Team Oso : Tumblr | Twitter
Team Kara : Tumblr | Twitter
Team Choro : Tumblr | Twitter
Team Ichi : Tumblr | Twitter
Team Jyushi : Tumblr | Twitter
Team Todo : Tumblr | Twitter
Blogs will also be judged on their themes, appearance, and additional features. If you have any ideas or skills in these areas, make sure to bring it up to your Team Leaders.
☆ Submissions
Your submission for this challenge must be an original work posted on your account to advertise/support/show off your team.
The type of original work that is created is not restricted to any one thing and may include anything you can think of. Original and creative ideas will score extra points so try to think outside the box.
Of these submissions three will be chosen by your team leaders which will then be voted on by mods to pick our favorite three.
☆ Participation / Points
The following things count as participation in the challenge and/or will earn you and your team points.
Submissions
Assisting in blog setup
Suggesting ideas
Doing something no other team has
Winning the mod-vote
Being the “MVP” for your team of the challenge, as chosen by your team leader.
Please ensure that you either note your contribution/idea or submit your work in the #submissions channel of your server so that you are accounted for.
If there are any other questions or concerns DM myself or your team leader or send an ask.
