⚔️Announcement about the KVZ Zine⚔️

Just to get straight to the point: we are going to be a free digital release with the charity linked under. The reason is underneath.

I'll be blunt as to what happened: we were going to use my business account to release the zine so we could donate to the charity in USD since that's my currency. The other mods have different currencies. This would have taken out the troubles of international fees and conversion costs. One of the mods has some experience with this and was going to teach me how to do it.

Unfortunately, my business account was shut down by P@ypal earlier last week. I have been speaking with P@ypal, and they made it clear they are not restoring my business account. After looking into a few other options, I realized there was too many factors that would need to be considered that cannot be rushed with finances with how close we are to the release date of this project.

So, I decided since it's getting so close to the end of the creation period, we are moving forward with this option. It's not ideal, but at least everyone can enjoy the project. For those who wish to donate, the charity will get the funds directly without a third party involved.

We also will have a exclusive bonus item for those who do decide to donate. We will let you know the instructions on how to get that item when the zine launches.

We are happy to say that the creation period has been going well. Check in three is around the corner and I can say honestly I am blown away with how beautiful and heartfelt each piece is. We are truly excited to see all of our contributor's pieces come to life and hope you are too.

How should we do the portfolios? Sorry, I'm new to zines and I'm a bit confused atm🥲

Hello anon!

I'll explain what I did for my portfolio. Note: I am a writer.

Depending on what you want to be, you'll want access to a google drive that has access to viewing or a website. I'll speak in terms of Google Drive since that's what I know.

Artists generally upload their pieces on drive and that's good enough to highlight their pieces, though it's not uncommon for them to upload too many. Most zines want about 3-5 pieces maximum.

I personally used docs for my writing portfolio. Start with a small introduction about yourself and then link your strongest pieces within the zine's guidelines. It's best to put your best piece at the top. Make sure those links are working and easy to access. Explain why you are linking these pieces with a short sentence. (I.e This piece shows that I can easily collaborate with others)

Double check for grammatical errors and make sure that you listened to the mods of the zine's instructions carefully.

Also if a zine is pitch based by request like this one, make sure you have strong pitches.

Throughout the Year Participants! We have a massive announcement. We put it down in the read below.

Due to a number of drop outs, we had to make a bunch of last minute reassignments  to keep the exchange going. Due to this, we had to be reasonable and drop the word count for writers to 2k as the minimum so they could still make the deadline. We are asking artists to still have their art coloured in, but a simple background such as just ‘pink’ is now acceptable.

This now applies to everyone. We apologize for the short notice, but in truth, we were not expecting this many reassignments in such a short time frame. You are welcome to go over the word count and do what you'd like with your art, of course. We just had to change the minimum requirements.

The deadline has not changed and the time to drop out has passed unless if something dire has come up (computer breaks, family emergency, etc.)

What prompted you to want to start a zine, and why is Susato and her wlw ships?

Hello anon!

So I'm just going to speak on my own behalf here. I'm a freelance writer that's always wanted to start a zine. I like to create things that people can enjoy, and a zine was the best way to do it so I can also meet more people in this awesome community.

As for why I went with sapphic Susato, I had a few concepts juggling in my head, and ended up going with sapphic Susato. It's a headcanon I've always had and wanted to expand on. I was actually shocked that this concept hadn't been explored yet, so here we are.

Hello we are starting to take suggestions for our spotlight every Friday to highlight WLW content. After all, this zine is meant to encourage more WLW content being made.

Each Friday we are linking one art piece and one fic along with our weekly updates. Followers of the blog and applicants will be considered first for this part.

We will try to get to everyone, so if we don't get to you we are very sorry, but we promise to keep it varied. You will only be highlighted once.

Ideally, we want to highlight those who have already applied, but since we're still in the application stage, that won't be a requirement until after applications close.

Rules: DM us a link of your best art and writing pieces that are Ace Attorney WLW. Links to the direct post on Tumblr would be best, but for writers, your Ao3 link will work too.
