Introducing: Mod Esme

Hello everyone! My friends call me Esme =3 I attended YEA Camp in Northern California back in…wow, 2011? Amazing how time flies. Then I returned in 2012 as a Counselor In Training. My main focus is on anti-bullying efforts; however, I am also interested in LGBTQ+ rights, animal rights, equality for women (especially financially), anti-police brutality efforts, and improving the environment. Outside of the internet, I am a college student majoring in psychology. I enjoy listening to music (especially Paramore), playing with my (rescue) dog, and following politics (#FeeltheBern!!) :D

Metal Bat

The sound of your laughter rang out as you listened to yet another one of Metal Bat’s bad jokes. You knew they were just downright terrible and so did he, but he continued to make them just to see you doubled over in laughter each time. If there was anything more in the world he wanted to do, it was to protect this precious smile and laughter you gave to him everyday. The safety of you and his sister is what made all of this busy hero crap worth it.

You wiped tears from your eyes, finally recovering from your laughter and standing up to face him. An adoring smile graced his lips as he gave you the softest look you thought you would never see a rough man like him would make. The sight melted your heart right on the spot. All you could do was step toward him and bury your face in his chest because honestly, you don’t know if your heart could take much more of that face of his. Metal Bat’s face heat up at your sudden affection, but accepted it and wrapped his arms around you. He tilted his head slightly and kisses the top of your forehead and you both swore that if this wasn’t happiness then you didn’t know what it was.

Shyly you leaned forward, tilting your head slightly as you gave him a questioning look, asking for a kiss. He didn’t waste any time, meeting your kiss eagerly. Your lips moved against his perfectly in sync, and you felt your heart beating rapidly inside your chest. The warmth of his body so close to yours practically melted your heart. His right hand reached up, cupping your face gently as the two of you deepened the kiss. Nothing could have ruined this perfect moment.

And nothing would have if not for a sudden, bone crushing slam and a sickening scream of agony. You two quickly pulled away, concern etched in your faces as you looked for the source of the bone chilling sound. To your horror there Mumen was, broken and bleeding on the floor, a dent in the building from where his body slammed against. Out of concern and fearing that he might be dead, you ran towards him and away from Metal Bat before he could stop you. All that was needed was those few moments of hesitation from him and you were already getting so far away from him. With a curse he took off after you, hoping he could get to you in time before something else happened.

You finally reached Mumen and kneeled down, trying to find some signs of life. There were large bite marks down his body and you had to turn your head away as to not take in the full sight of his mangled body. If he had screamed earlier you don’t know how you didn’t hear it and if he didn’t scream then god he was stronger than you imagined. You cast a quick glance at his face, looking for any signs of life but that’s all it was; a quick glance before you heard a low hiss and felt something dig in and impact against your stomach.

There was no time for you to register the pain as you soared through the air and like Mumen, slammed into a wall. Your vision blacked out for a moment and all the air you would’ve had in your lungs to scream was forced out. Your vision returned as you hit the ground and you could barely see a many headed monster in the distance in the air, probably hit away by something but you couldn’t see much there was blood already seeping down to your eyes. All you wanted to do was cry out to Metal Bat, but you couldn’t bring yourself to even get a whisper out.

In the next few seconds you were being lifted up and pain flashed through your body. Tears streamed down your face and you feared what was coming next, but you were being turned over and all you saw was Metal Bat’s face.

There was pure terror in his face as he saw where the Hydra’s spiked tail impaled your stomach, but with a quick glance at your face coming to terms with what happened, he quickly changed it to a reassuring glance. He stood up with you in his arms and quickly looked for some kind of shelter where others might be to take care of you. Spotting a small group of people huddling and waiting for emergency vehicles, he ran over. The hydra was still there, but there were some heroes that had come in and he was sure they would distract it for the moment. All he wanted was to get you somewhere safe, somewhere someone could probably save you. For once he didn’t have the ability to help you.

It was excruciatingly painful being jostled around in his arms, but the pain seemed to be dulling and you couldn’t figure out why. You looked up at Metal Bat, desperation in his eyes as he ran and all you wanted to know was what was going to happen. From the look in his eyes, you were more scared than by what was happening to you. It was painful, but you pushed words out of your mouth to at least get something from him other than that look in his face.

“M-Metal Bat?… What’s wrong with me, what’s happening?… I-I’m scared…”, you croaked.

He was pushing back tears as he finally put you down in the circle of people and kneeled down, but he refused to let you down just yet.

“I know you’re scared, but I promise I’ll protect ya. I always said that, didn’t I?”, you slightly nodded as he continued,”Now do me a favor, babe. Please hang in there, please do that for me, ya hear?” He kissed your forehead as tears were bubbling at the corner of his eyes but he pushed them away just a bit longer for your sake. He wanted you to seem him as brave until he had to leave.

“I love you okay? I love ya with all my heart and I promise I’ll be back to get ya after I’m done.”, he choked. A small smile graced your lips, one of the smiles he loved so much,”I love you so much too. I love you forever and I’ll,” you coughed a bit of blood but continued,”I’ll be here when you get back. Go kick butt.”, you finally wheezed out.

He pressed his lips to yours softly and reluctantly put your frail, pale body down. All he wanted to do was stay and be there with you, but he made a promise and that damned Hydra was to pay for this. Taking one last glance back at you, he forced himself away, but not without a few tears. The last thing you saw was his retreating form and the most broken and angry scream you’ve ever heard in your life.

how do you think metal bat would be with an s/o who is asexual? maybe even a male/trans male s/o? hcs are perfect, sorry if this isn't something you do.

Metal Bat:

With an asexual s/o, Metal Bat would be completely understanding about it. He wouldn’t push you to do anything sexual at all and is completely fine with just plain romance. More than anything he’d be respectful towards you, and does his best to make you comfortable. Just spending time with you is honestly enough to make him happy. Christ he’s so inexperienced with dating cuddling could probably get him flustered.

I mean he does live in a world of monsters, of course he’s going to be accepting. It’s not something unusual to him and if there’s a chance that he doesn’t understand quite fully they he would ask you about it but won’t make you uncomfortable about it.

For a male/trans s/o it’s the same thing. He’s very accepting and if you’re trans and you come out to him then he would accept it without a single protest. He would rather you be comfortable with who you are than be miserable about being someone you’re not.

At first he might have trouble referring to you with your proper pronouns if he knew you as a different gender first. He’ll quickly stop making the mistake after a week at most.

I can see him being bisexual(or pan) so as long as you’re a good person, he’s not gonna give a hoot about what other people may say because you’re his s/o and that’s that.

Dear lord if anyone ever made a rude or offensive comment about how you’re asexual, or trans they are going to get their asses kicked. You might have to hold Metal Bat back from cracking their heads open with his favorite weapon.

Metal Bat's reaction to his s/o first meeting with his sister, only to see that they get along really well and his sister like them.

Before they meet his sister he would be very concerned and constantly worrying as he hopes that they would like each other. He’s thought about hundreds of possibilities of what could go right and wrong and fears every wrong chance so right before his s/o meets his sister, he’s going to be worried. After all his sister is the most important person in his life. He completely adores her and would do anything to protect and make her happy. Zenko’s opinion on his significant other would have a great impact on his relationship with them. Sure he’ll do his best to convince her to accept his lover, but he’ll take her words into consideration as well.

As he finds out that they do like each other then of course he’s going to be absolutely ecstatic and I wouldn’t put it past him to start tearing up a little or full out crying. He wants the two most important people in his life to like each other and now that it’s happening, it’s the happiest thing for him. He’s most likely going to plan dates where he can bring his sister along or go to one of his sister’s recitals with his s/o and so many other things. Especially since he has to go to school and is a full time hero, he’s going to find as much time to spend together with them both.

Headcanons about child emperor

Child Emperor:

This child totally eats too much candy all the time. He usually has a piece of candy with him at all times and if he doesn’t have one then it’s nearby in his pocket or backpack ready for him to eat later. Going to the dentist’s office isn’t the most pleasant experience for him.

His parents know how busy he is as a hero, but they’re still strict about him getting his homework done! After all, his education is very important and they want the best for him. Also they try to make him cut back on the sweets because it’s bad for him but somehow he keeps getting more and more (from fans) and so it’s kind of hard.

Also his parents are very strict about Child Emperor going to bed on time. More than anything he hates this restriction, especially since he’s much more adult like than what they give him credit for (in his opinion). Many times he’ll rebel and attempt to stay up late only to fall asleep before ten in the evening.

Even though he’s a full time hero and full time cram student, he still has an active social life and there’s more than likely a fan club for him at his school but whether he knows about it or not is up in the air. At the very least he wouldn’t pay them much attention unless they offered sweets.

He seems like the type of child to try to get everything he can for his parents even though they tell him not to. He loves them and wants to get them the things they never had (it’s funny because they want to give him the same even though he can technically buy it for himself). Most of the machines and house appliances were made by the hero himself and were improved to work more efficiently than what any company could come up with.

Since he is still a child, he still throws his tantrums here and there but they aren’t as bad or as frequent as a normal child would have. He’s gotta at least have a little level of maturity since he has to work with much older heroes and such.

Hc about Genos life before he met Saitama? Like how do you think Genos got back to the doctor when he was wrecked in battles? Or how did he get so much cash? Do you think Genos celebrated holidays with the doctor or did he spend them busily searching for the cyborg?

Genos:

If you really think about it I’m pretty sure Saitama doesn’t bring Genos back when he gets completely wrecked either. I mean in the manga he states that he wants Saitama to meet Dr Kuseno, and not once have they met afterward in the webcomic either so far. I have literally no idea how on Earth this toaster ever gets back to the lab. Maybe Dr. Kuseno has a tracking device or something installed in Genos that allows him to know when he’s in pieces. He might have his own creations/robots that bring back the parts of Genos whenever he gets the signal from the device. I have no clue whatsoever. It’s a miracle.

For the first two years of training and searching for the cyborg that killed his family, Genos probably didn’t spend much time with the doctor at all unless he was getting fixed. He is very determined after all and basically dedicated his life on getting revenge. At this points it’s basically the meaning of his entire existence; to become strong enough to destroy the cyborg that ruined his life. He wouldn’t have time to celebrate holidays with Dr. Kuseno and might even consider it a waste of time he could use to train. It would at least be one of his last priorities. Although his relationship is rather close with the doctor, so after a bit of convincing Genos might give in and spend part of the holiday celebrating with him.

The way he got his money, I’m sure, is he must’ve done some odd jobs just to help people out here and there. If not that then he must have just been given money by the people by doing heroic things and he just accepted it because hey, it would help with paying for his replacement parts. Another theory could be that Dr. Kuseno gives him an allowance. I mean christ he must be rich as heck if he can afford to replace Genos’ parts constantly. Maybe that or perhaps the doctor pays Genos for helping him out and letting him test out his gadgets and creations on our beloved toaster.

Also before he meet Saitama, he has been most likely traveling the whole time with the doctor with him. Until he met Saitama, there was no one place he would stay because he has been looking around everywhere for the cyborg. I’m sure Dr. Kuseno appreciates the time to settle down somewhere for now and rest even though he too is trying to find the rogue cyborg.
