The boys reacting to their s/o telling them she’s pregnant in a cute way
part 2 to this post
Bakugo Katsuki
You’d never made it a habit of taking Bakugo’s cellphone without permission, but he couldn’t know you were about to download a certain baby app on his phone. It would ruin the surprise.
So one morning while he was showering and getting ready to go into work, you snatched it from its usual spot on the dresser and quickly downloaded it. Thank goodness for fast internet, it only took a couple of seconds.
With your heart beating a mile a minute, you filled out all the necessary info, setting the notifications to go off while he was at home and not at work, and placed the phone back on the dresser.
It all happened in less than 3 minutes but it felt like an hour to you. You didn’t really care about getting caught with his phone, but you were really excited to see how the app worked and to see his reaction. So now it was a matter of time.
Which you weren’t so patient for...
If those 3 minutes had felt like an hour to you, waiting for him to come back from work felt like a lifetime. You were about to call him just two minutes after the time he usually arrives, but luckily you heard the front door open and rushed over.
You eagerly asked him how his day was, but instead of the usual grunt or one word reply, Bakugo huffed. “It was alright, but right at 6 my phone started to go off.”
“Oh?” Your heart skipped a beat.
“It’s annoying as hell, I can’t turn the notifications off because I don’t even know what app is sending me all those damn messages!”
“What messages?” You couldn’t help the smile dancing on your lips now.
“Something about how many weeks have gone by and shit.”
“Weeks of what? Have you read them?”
“Yeah!”
“Have you really read them?”
Bakugo paused for a moment, something clicking in his head. It was obvious you knew something about the notifications he was getting.
Pulling out his phone, he scrolled through them until he got to the first one and started to read them. That’s when he froze. The whole house went quiet, as if it could tell he was processing something important.
“Are you serious?”
You nodded.
“Why did you use a damn app instead of telling me?” He didn’t sound angry at all though. Maybe you imagined it, but it actually sounded like his voice cracked a little.
Kaminari Denki
The moment you found out you were pregnant you immediately began racking your brain for a creative way of telling Denki that you were pregnant.
You wanted to do something subtle like putting a bun in the oven and letting him figure it out, but let’s be honest, it’s Denki we’re talking about here... he probably wouldn’t get it. So you decided something equally small and cute, but much more in your face. If he didn’t get it you were going to be very disappointed.
After getting everything you needed during a trip to the grocery store, you started to get to work. He wouldn’t be home for another 2 hours so you had plenty of time.
You’d bought some yellow “caution” tape, a small chalkboard and obviously some chalk as well.
When you both first moved into your current house and saw that there was a spare bedroom, you both agreed it’d double as a game room and study. In the end it ended up more game room than study, but you couldn’t complain, you had every other room to yourself.
But now that you guys were going to have a baby, you needed to think about them first, so it was time to say goodbye to the game room.
Setting everything beside you, you replaced the “game room” sign with the chalkboard that now read: - CAUTION - Nursery Under Construction Opening: October
Then you put the yellow tape on the door and smiled proudly to yourself. Now you just had to wait for him to see it.
Luckily you didn’t have to wait that long, Denki arrived within the hour and immediately headed towards the room to relax, only to stop dead in his tracks.
You were in the kitchen making dinner when you heard the footsteps coming down the stairs and hall.
“Y/N! Y/N! Is it true? Are you pregnant?”
“I am.” You grinned, letting go of the spoon in your hand because you knew what was coming.
Denki ran to you and wrapped you in the tightest hug you had ever received.
“I’m so happy!”
“Me too.”
Shinsou Hitoshi
There was no question about how you were going to let Shinsou know you were pregnant. It was going to be simple and easy, and pretty straightforward but in the best way.
Once it was confirmed you were pregnant, you wanted to be extra sure so you didn’t get your hopes up, you ordered the mug online.
It wasn’t a fancy mug, but on the inside it said “you’re going to be a dad!” with hearts and all. Very cute you’d say.
It took 3 days for the mug to arrive and you were careful to keep it from Shinsou until the next morning. Unfortunately it arrived while he was home instead of at the agency, but he was too busy taking a nap to notice when you stepped out to retrieve the small box.
Giddy with excitement you almost dropped it while preparing his coffee, but he didn’t comment on it. He probably thought you were just as tired as him, so he gratefully took the mug.
He didn’t realize it wasn’t his usual mug until he was about halfway done.
“Did you get new mugs?” He looked up to glance at yours and was confused to see you with your usual one.
“No, just that one. I heard it’s really popular and I want you to only have the best.” You smiled. Not being able to contain the excitement, your smile turned into a grin, which got you a weird look from Shinsou.
“Alright...”
“From what I read it has a message or something. I thought it was one of those that changed with heat, but I guess not.” You shrugged and turned around to grab a cookie from the counter, but also so you wouldn’t give yourself away.
“Hm..” That had grabbed Shinsou’s attention.
It only took a few more minutes for Shinsou to finish his coffee and you didn’t even have to turn around to know. Because he started coughing.
“Oh my god, are you okay?” You rushed over to help him, but he shook his head.
“I’m fine...” he managed through coughs until he was fine. “Do you know what the mug says?”
“I do.” You nodded slowly, letting him take it in.
“You sure?”
“Yeah. I bought it specifically because of what it says.”
He stared at your for a few seconds, probably trying to wrap his head around it and make sure you weren’t playing a trick on him. When he realized you weren’t, he smiled.
“We’re about to lose a lot more sleep.”
You chuckled. “Yes we are, but it’ll be worth it.”
