I love an extremely popular character and sometimes I think he thinks my love for him is not sincere. How do I show that love for him is not because he is popular but because of who he is and his personality?
Okay so this might be a bit long and confusing but it’s coming from my heart so bear with me please
Think of your f/o like a celebrity having thousands of fans and all that, now think of things that he could do that a large part of the “fanbase” might be whiny over (like getting a haircut, changing his style, etc.) where most people who are kind of sensually attracted to him or only by his fame might be “turned off” by. Or little things that he might think are embarrassing or lame or weird and think how you would support that, support all of him even the parts he doesn’t like, even the parts his “fans” don’t like!
And even when the internet or mainstream moves on from the media he came from and he isnt as hyped as he used to be you’ll still be there for him, because your attraction to him isnt surface level and he’ll know!
TL:DR- There sadly isn’t a grand gesture to show him how much you care but there’s all the little things that maybe he doesn’t appreciate or that society doesnt accept but you are there to show him how special he is and support him at his lowest and highest points no matter how many people stan him!
