as the clock struck midnight, you found yourself wandering through the luscious gardens of the mansion. it was an odd time of night to be awake, admiring the delicate rose bushes under the faint glow of the moonlight. there was just something ethereal about the garden at night…something so dangerously enticing that just drew you in.
“my dearest, you should not be out here at this hour…you tempt creatures of the night such as myself.” you glance up and see your boyfriend walking towards you, the faint glow of the moon illuminating his beautiful features. you turn to him and offer a small smile.
“what if i want to, rei?” you ask as he wraps his arms around your waist.
“how exasperating of you, love, tempting an old man like me.” he teases.
a dusty pink rose colour rings your cheeks. with a chuckle, rei pecks your forehead.
the two of you stay like that for a couple minutes…arms wrapped around each other in the soft moonlight glow.
“dearest, would you do this poor old man the greatest honour and accompany me in a moonlight waltz?” he asks, rubbing circles on your palm.
you whisper a soft yes, and the two of you sway under the blanket of stars and soft moonlight glow.
“love…you are beautiful.” you tell rei, as he chuckles again.
“dearest, i am nothing compared to your beauty.” he brushes some stray hair away from your face.
under that night sky, you two shared the first of many kisses that evening.
