Technically, you can’t log off from the world of Elder Tales after the Catastrophe (yet), but that’s not really the point here.

I’ve been rather inactive on this blog and pretty much left it up to LHFF to post some of the headcanons submitted every now and then. So after a bit of thinking, I’ve decided that I will leave this collaborative blog. A few of the reasons for this decision include: college exams, college works, college (enough said), stress, and my own personal procrastination.

Should you want another LH headcanons blog, I do have another one I was creating before I found out about this one and joining it. It is not really any more active than this one, but should I retake the project and you’re interested, this is the blog.

With that said, adventurers, keep on rediscovering the world. Manuelschi off.

Quetzalcoatl is a summon obtainable only from a raid of Aztec ruins on the North American Server.  It’s obtained from an item called “Feathered Serpent’s Tears”, a gemstone with a drop rate below 3% for the Raid’s Boss.  It has an extremely long cooldown time, but its powerful attack and magic rating makes it incredible at decimating mass amounts of enemies.

MS notes: 3% seems like a rather small percentage for a raid boss drop, but I hardly have any experiences with real MMOs, and none with raids, so I don't really know if it'd be balanced. However, if it really was a devastating summon, it might be. You could use it in a raid to clear some areas and it could be rather efficient.

High level Animal Trainers can have a skill that draws the attention/agro of tame-able creatures in a medium range. Something that was taken advantage of when Elder Tale was a game to troll other players. (ie; you're about to land a kill when someone uses the skill and steals it)

MS notes: Considering that the Animal Trainers would have many animal-related skills, it wouldn't surprise me they would 'know' how to annoy animals enough to attract agro, even before the Catastrophe.

There’s a Satyr-like summon that was added late in the game to act as a sub-Bard. It has access to a lot of Bard skills but they’re difficult to obtain and level and considered ugly so no one uses them much.

Manuelschi’s notes: I would believe it would still make an appearance at least rarely, but I could see that the summon is not balanced in a favorable way. Like the summon being a very low level for what is required to acquire them, making them completely useless by the time you’re able to get it.

Boom-de-yada, Boom-de-yada, Boom-de-yada, Boom-de-yada...

Somewhere in the world of Elder Tale/Log Horizon, just like with Shiroe’s party, another group of Adventurers saw a sunrise or a view from on high that overlooked the breathtaking majesty of the beautiful world they were trapped in, and one of the party members started humming/singing this song. Whether or not the rest of the party/guild joined in, it was a moment that happened, and you cannot persuade me otherwise. You cannot see the beauty of this world and not be tempted to break into song.

Manuelschi's notes: If someone happened to remember that tune while looking at something like that, I can't deny that it would be rather fitting. And I would join humming in a situation like that.
