Ridiculous concept: all of the Hermits are animated differently. Like in Spider-Verse. Etho is animated in the style of Naruto. Scar is in Disney Renaissance style (his cats are like the Aristocats). Bdubs looks like a Looney Toon. Cleo resembles The Nightmare Before Christmas in style. Xisuma is pixelated like OG Doom. Gem is animated like a 3D Disney princess. Welsknight is like if someone animated a medieval manuscript. Joel is early 2000s Dreamworks.

Tango's in Phineas and Ferb style. Grian is super simplified and cartoony. Joe is live action.

Hermitcraft is a pocket dimension in the space between universes that sometimes people fall into/get sent or chosen to go there by cosmic forces. Each Hermit comes from a different universe and/or time.

Welsknight genuinely is a medieval fantasy knight.

Scar is from Disney the Universe.

Joe Hills is actually just from our world.

Doc was a coding error from the Minecraft Dev Worlds. They tried to delete him, so he broke out of the universe instead.

Mumbo is from Twilight. He is not a vampire.

Tango is from a steampunk world, and Impulse is from a sci-fi one!

joel has actually just lost his mind from sleep deprivation. the other parents on the server understand but are still kind of concerned. (is this c!joel or cc!joel? yes.)

when players log out to change skins, they're actually doing a full magical girl transformation into their new skin.

A very impressive transformation! Even hostile mobs just end up staring and not attacking.

Cleo keeps as many of her teeth and bones as possible, on the off chance that they need to be revived. Most of the teeth and bones she uses (to like, eat and stuff) are either fake or from other Hermits.

As long as part of Cleo’s original body remains intact, they can eventually come back to life. Having a body to return to is way faster and more convenient than reforming one from code, so Cleo—sometimes uses the corpses of recently deceased Hermits as “blueprints”, so to speak.

She uses Gem and Scar corpses most often, Gem because of resemblance and Scar because of just how often he dies. Other frequent candidates are Pearl, False, Grian when she wants to mess with him, and whoever they’re neighboring with that season.
