Ultimately it’s really down to how you feel about it. Nobody else can tell you who or what you are. Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction. The Ace umbrella covers Asexual, Demisexual (a lack of sexual attraction except in cases where a certain level of emotional intimacy has already been established) and Grey-Asexual (a lack of sexual attraction most of the time or in most cases or with some exceptions, etc) and other identities. Ace, Demi, and Grey-Ace are just the three most common Ace identities.For me, personally, I needed some time to just, reflect on it? To think on who I was at that time, before I first started ID’ing as Ace. So that’s about the best thing you can do for yourself, no matter how much research you’ve done, is just think about who you are, and figure out whether or not you feel comfortable identifying as ace, or if maybe there’s another label out there that fits you better.And there’s no shame in identifying as Ace for now and realizing later on that, hey, maybe something else is a better label for you. Identities change, and sexuality (or asexuality) can be fluid. Take your time on it!
