& a gay life update I guess- I went to a steampunk con & danced with my crush while wearing a suit & presenting as male. not sure if he knows I’m trans or how he would feel but it was nice. the remnants of my scared closeted steampunk geek 15 yo self sighed in content and it felt like things lined up for a day

so a pro tip for the younger nerds out here- going alone (or with supportive friends) to a convention for something you’re passionate about is a great opportunity to present as yourself if you’re closeted in daily life

but make sure you stay safe, okay?

tbh I’ve sent requests to a couple ppl who do moodboards to do a steampunk mlm moodboard & they haven’t so this is probably a thing I should do myself,,

mainly bc it reminds me of a guy I like so I’ve asked for super specific stuff too, & at this point my brain is like “HEY just get into cosplay with him & get him to make pictures for the moodboard!1”

but I think he pretty much only dresses up for the upcoming con in March so I may have to wait until then haha

anyway on a slightly related note a different friend & I are going to take shippy Gay cosplay pictures so?? yay
